Search underway in Clinton MD (15ish mi from Tasker middle school) for a man seen walking in the woods. Police have a woman who dropped him off in custody.

The woman who was wisked away in PG County is NOT under arrest. They are just talking with her to try and find out why she was there.

Thanks for the info; I'd forgotten, but knew the police must have searched the area right after the shooting, making it virtually impossible for a prankster to drop the card.

Cpl Diane Richardson of the PG County Police said they took the woman into custody because they were looking for a Ford and she was driving a Ford. They are talking to her to find out why she was there. Did she drop off someone? They are using an FBI helicopter to search the woods, the PG helicopter will be back later.

It IS always fun to slap the media, isn't it? But seriously, he has a good point. The media is a good medium for the police to get INFORMATION out to the public. The media is not good a good medium too get EVIDENCE out to the public.

He's not prepared to talk about it, but by airing the dirty laundry of the police department in public - (by talking about their playing the blame game with each other) - he has confirmed the story.

Embarrassing, huh? I really feel for this Moose guy...the more he talks, the more he discredits himself, and I don't believe he is a "bad" person...I just think he is not a "public speaker" pro.

If you wanted to continue terrorizing the entire country would you get yourself turned in or lead the cops on a wild goose chase and continue picking people off?

Wouln't it be easier to just go somewhere else to continue? From what we found out since 911, looks like terrorists have little care for their own life and even wish to die for Allah (you know, the virgins business...).

here's what I have picked up from cable news...they may have a witness who reported a man in blue jacket/blue baseball cap with a "long carrying case" and now a woman who was picked up (dropping a man off?)...LEO set up a perimeter around woods....I have a gut feeling they will have the sniper in custody soon. Let's hope so.

I beg to disagree. Michael had never been considered a suspect until Mark Furhman turned him out. Read the book, it's good. Furhman is good at what he does. He truly solved that case IN his book.

Lived in Maryland all those years ago (66-79) and never made it to the Eastern shore (that I can remember anyway). Wait, I take that back. My Biology 2 trip in HS was to Wallops Island. No map handy, anywhere near your old area?

I grew up in Rockville not far from Thursday's shootings. Been in PHX since 79. Three teenagers as of next month and a 9 yr. old. I'm always intersted in reconnecting with old friends though which is why I asked.:)
