A woman who had escaped from the Ukraine speaking at one of our conservative Republican functions in the early 70s said something that I have never forgotten.

I escaped and came to America, I had your country to run to. The same thing that happened to the Ukraine is happening here and you people have no place to run, you had better wake up and fight it with all your might.

That's an excellent line. I read somewhere that some Hungarian lady was a speaker at Columbia University. She said there were more Communists at Columbia than in Hungary.
