Hatch was great. Now we are being treated to a further narcoplectic address by Byrd on cloture on the Iraq amendment. We'll see if the Pubs let this issue drop.

Robert Byrd now is now talking and asking to delay vote on Iraq Resolution scheduled tomorrow morning.

Is not even addressing Senator Thurmond's issue. THEY DO NOT EVEN CARE ABOUT THE RULES, THE COUNTRY, THE INTEGRITY OF OUR US SENATE WHICH BELONGS TO THE REPUBLIC, NOT THESE JERKS!!!

I am hoping that they delay the vote until next week. Or the week after. Or Halloween has a nice ring to it.

They don't have their evening schedule up yet but they usually replay these sessions at night.

Calling the 'Rats liars, are they? Well, geez, its sure took them long enough. We had eight years of lying and doublecrossing and backstabbing with The Master of Deceit. Hell, the 'Rats are liars? A blind man could see that with a cane. About time someone told the truth about 'Rats on the Senate floor.

Between this nonsense and the election tampering, I wonder how long it will be before a civil war erupts?

A long, long time, I think. You see, we think we are free and will continue to stay so, doing nothing.

Byrd is now appealing to blah, blah, blah all that is right or good or something like that...OHHH--All that matters with whatever he wants, but nobody else's issues matter.

I'd love to be majority leader for a week!!

The Senate is broken. Absolutely broken, and it is entirely due to the unscrupulous and poisonous antics of Tom Daschle.Jim Jeffords.

It's just so maddening to watch these jackasses.

Some republican should stand up and tell Sarbanes that the Panama Canal debate didn't involve the end of civilization as we know it! GRRRRRRRR

Sad commentary, my ass!

But you're right....this is senate showbiz at it's best. McCain is trying to get the floor.

This is really odd. C-SPAN2 has a fairly wide shot of the chamber and many senators are standing and addressing each other directly. Looks like a fight wants to break out.

Byrd still trying to delay the Iraq vote against the wishes of his own party leaders. Weird.

Like the Senators do not know how they are going to vote as of now? Give us a break BYRD, we are not that stupid.
