This article is about a month old. I did a search on FR for this article's title, but the search came up empty. So forgive me if this has been posted earlier. A friend of mine called it to my attention today, and I thought it worthy of wider attention here on FR.

Remember those people leaping to their deaths from the top of burning skyscrapers.
Approximately 200 went to the next life in this way.
When I think of 9-11, I think of the approximate 11 seconds it took for these souls
to reach ground level.
(USA Today researched the subject...civil authortities agree that their estimate is
reasonable.)

A VERY VERY worthy post. That it was posted before is irrelevant, as so many didn't see it. It is worth the bandwidth. Thanks for posting it. I would never have seen it, and it lifted my spirits.

Quite a few pinned scraps of paper or business cards bearing their names to their clothes before they jumped. That was the only hope they had left -- that their remains could be identified so their loved ones would have something to bury. I heard this from the husband of a senior Marsh & McLennan executive who was speaking to some of the employees by phone as this was going on.
We owe it to these people to utterly destroy radical Islam.

Thank you for posting this article.
I believe we have shown an incredidible amount of patience in this country.I also believe our patience is justifiably at end.The USA has never desired world controll. We will not be "controlled " by "world" opinion.
President Bush called it correctly. You are either with us, or you are with the terrorists.
Choose.

Thank you, Wolfstar. I missed it the first time around, and it really deserves attention.

Thanks for posting. I never saw it before.
To our shame, George Bush gets a worse press than Saddam Hussein.
And to our shame too. I take this personally. They may be bashing the American government, but I vote for that American Government, so I take this as a slap at me.
I really hold a lot of the American press responsible. They have trashed President Bush since well before the election. They have set him up in the eyes of the world as an idiot cowboy. Shame on them. Their "reporting" is nothing more than personal assaults on his character. It is disgusing. Some free press. The only parts of the paper or news that I take as gospel are the baseball scores, other sport scores, and the obituaries.

Worth of re-posting, great article to encourage us that there are those in other lands who will continue to call good what is good and evil what is evil.

Splendid writing. Is it any wonder that the tiny islands of Great Britain have produced a disproportionate number of the world's greatest writers and thinkers? (Including their rougher cousins on this side of the pond.)

Thank you for posting it as I didn't see it before. It's a wonderful article, I wish I could tell the author!
