Posted this on other thread. Rt 234 completely blocked off -- it's 5 seconds from Rt 66. I drove past there about 8:55 pm tonight and was forced east on I-66 (I wanted to go that way anyway). Four helicopters in air now. White van/panel truck being looked at by police. People unable to get home. Area blocked off.

SOLUTION PROPOSAL:
- Post two riflemen at every school, busstop, corner.
- A sniper could take one, but the other might get the sniper.
I know it sounds silly and vigilantistic, but man I'd sure bet all these bastard terrorists of all stripes would immediately wither back into their holes the day GW announced he was calling out the militia, training started next week, and in a month there would be 80 million armed, trained, and pissed off bubbas on patrol.

We live 20 minutes away. My husband was off today and we took our little toddlers to the park. I noticed a lot of sirens. A man at the park mentioned it to me - said his boys were there playing because they had cancelled football practice.
My husband thinks I've been paranoid the last few days with telling him to be careful at gas stations, etc. And to try not to make himself a target by lingering. I've been walking in and out of stores quicker. Was out by myself tonight shopping.
Sigh. I want this to end. So sick of it. As if there weren't enough stress making a living in these ridiculous suburbs.

The latest from CNN says that witnesses heard a single shot and no one saw fleeing suspects. Seems that there is a lot of noise in the news channels right now with every media outlet saying something different.

What is in common ... most certainly Michael's. Gas Stations? Are there two or three that have been shot at gas stations? Something to do with oil?

I can't imagine what these communities must be going through. Just sickening.. and certainly brings home what the Israeli's are enduring daily!! For years to boot!!
