[history]
A former Burger King worker filed a federal lawsuit against her employer Wednesday over a prank call that led a supervisor to strip-search her.
According to the suit, the employee, then 15, was working part time at a Burger King in Pendleton on Dec. 17 when a caller claiming to be a policeman asked if there was a girl working the front counter.

Yikes!

The search ended after her father came to give her a ride home. Had that been my daughter, the search would have ended when the father beat the crap out of the supervisor.

Why didn't the kid even question what was being done? And what was it they were looking for? Stolen sesame buns?

This is an example of why I want to instill a healthy resistance to authority in my children. Maybe not resistance exactly, but a questioning attitude and a strong sense of self.
I wonder why the supervisor is not under investigation for a crime. His actions don't pass the "reasonable person" test IMHO. What kind of idiot would do such a thing based on instructions received over the phone?

I wonder why the supervisor is not under investigation for a crime. Sound like felonious sexual assualt to me...

This superviser is too stupid to be even working at Burger KingBetter there than driving an 18 wheeler, and many of those drivers should be working at BK.

No doubt! But I bet they get a promotion out of it!

Most teenagers when confronted by an adult in a position of authority (your manager at work would constitute that) would do what they were told. After all they get pounded into their heads day in and day out to behave themselves and to do as they are told by adults. It wasnt like it was some stranger and the children were probably more concerned with losing there jobs than anything. In theend the real blame falls on STUPID SUPERVISORS who think they would have the right to strip search any employee for any reason. If a crime is believed to be commited it should be investigated by a law enforcment official swho shows proof of his position not by a spupervisor at a burger king.

Someone called up, claiming to be a policeman, and the manager believed the whopper he told?
Not only should he be fired, he also needs to have his a** kicked... as does the caller...

did you know 'gullible' isn't even in the dictionary?

I agree with you.
This is a horrible conclusion to the authoritative regime that our children go thru each day in public school. They don't even question if that adult is "allowed" to behave this way.
I am raising my son to behave at school but also with caution. If he gets in trouble at school, we go over what he did wrong, his part in the action and the actions of the adults (read teachers) too. Gotta give 'em some backbone in this world and not just be a pushover.

I was a pretty ignorant twit at 15 but there is no way, no way at all that I would have removed my clothes in that store. No way. Wouldn't happen. In fact, I would have busted someone and then run. What is wrong with people today that they just let others run right over them!
