Sounds like there is still confusion about the white van. First there is one fleeing the scene, then another one. Is this story just old???

I still think the white van is a red herring. Unfortunately other than the tarot card and shell casings, its the only other evidence valid or not.
If it turns out the sniper is using a white van, why would he be so stupid to keep using it, when he is able to commit all these murders and vanish without a trace?

Thanks for the update seamus. Our schools are in total lock down. I have all 3 grandkids in school right now. Can't help but feel nervous about their safety until they all are home.

I heard on my local radio station today a retired military sniper had what seemed to be some good advice.
He said that when pumping gas, just don't stand there, move about so the sniper can't get a fix on you. Might help. I have close friends that live in the area and I think of them everyday.

There was one report was of a white van bumping other vehicles on I95. After checking it out, police said it appears the driver simply panicked because he was afraid of being shot himself.Hmmmm. This sounds devilishly clever to me. It reminds me of the scene in "Die Hard" when the actual terrorist fooled Willis into believing he was merely another hostage.

I'm probably behind the curve here, but I remember hearing a story about the amazing ability trained bloodhounds have to follow a scent for many miles, even if the person is driving/riding in a vehicle.
FWIW.

The anti-gunners seem to be cheering this guy on.
Each day they drool at the prospect of another hit for their cause. Have you folks seen these people on TV? They're salivating!

suspect: a white male with black or dark brown hair Well, I'll leap to the conjecture (based on almost no good information) that dark hair could mean a something like a swarthy Mediterranean complexion...

I don't know which is the "active" thread on this subject, but anyone have info on the "graphic aid" the local LEO's were going to issue today? I haven't seen it yet.

The actual words on the card were "Dear Mister Policeman: I am God"

He probably went South on I-95 for one or two exits. Pulled off, found parking in a strip mall or on a street and decided to spend the afternoon shopping while the Police was closing I-95 North. The Police should have closed I-95 in both directions.

A point that was mentioned by a female reporter calling into Fox News this AM made me begin to think that the killer and the cops MAY have opened a line of communication in an odd way. She said that the tarot card ( as we all know ) was found on Monday and of course, said "I am God". Now, on Tuesday, during a press briefing, Chief Morris stated that "he hoped to God to one day understand why these occurances took place". ( Sorry if I am not word for word but this was the context of her call in report ). She said specifically that reporters were "taken aback" by Morris' reference to God in such a strange manner.

At least we can live in comfort thinking that this guy had to wait a few days to get the gun he bought over the counter, so he was not able to regenge his victimization for a couple of days ... allowed him to cool off, ya know?
And doubly comforting thinking of how many pent-up conservatives are waiting to get a gun right now ... a dead conservative cannot claim "self-defense" as they are like to do.

It was loud as (expletive),...It was like a boom,...
This is the part that has me somewhat puzzled. Having fired thousands of rounds from an M16A1E1, I consider this rifle to be relatively quiet. (The sound is much more like a load "crack", rather than a "boom".) Could the shooter have been that close? Could he have fired from a semi-enclosed area that would actually amplify the sound somewhat?

I don't know why the don't send up a high altitude reconnaissance aircraft with wide angle, high resolution camera's and have it orbit for a few days. When the next shooting occurs, look at the images....
I am confident, that if this continues, they will do this, if they are not already....
