Troxler must be trying to assist them in the campaign. This is too good for it to be a straight editorial.

A reporter accidently tells the truth.

Isn't this refreshing! (^:
I posted this over at my dup. thread (before I hit the abuse button on myself, hah!):
This author nails McBride on his "record." Even though Jeb supported the envirals, stopped off-shore drilling, pushed the Everglades restoration - the enviral groups proved their real agenda by endorsing McBride for nothing more than his Big "D" loyalty.
About that tax-free status....?
To: windchime
LOL! That's pretty good.

It took me a minute! You're the one that got deleted. Well, great minds think alike and even at the same time!
This one is a real treasure!

You might enjoy this. This editorial isn't characteristic of the author or the newspaper.

This one's a keeper. It's so unlike the whitewashed puff pieces we usually see from the McBride-DNC Fla. press corps.
Another insightful article: Why Bill McBride - Dr. Sidney Wallace - SATIRE (nah, true).
To: mafree
Wasn't that a good one?!
To: PogySailor
That's from a reporter and newspaper that is NEVER favorable to Republicans! Glad you liked it!

BTTT! This writer carefully and methodically revealed in a humorous way that MCBRIDE'S GOT NO ENVIRONMENTAL PLATFORM! I love it. This is why I'm not so sure the Times is going to vote for McBride. They took two pot shots at him today with the woman's hooters remark and this no environmental platform story. Maybe they need to justify why they may support Jeb Bush. If they trash McBride now, it will be easier for their readers to take if they choose Governor Bush.
Three cheers for sptimes.com trashing McBride - going against their own mission statement to trash liberals.

Thanks for putting this up even though it was a dupe. I really had to get away from my pc for a few hours. This needed to get out.

BTTT for the evening freepers.

Thank you so much for the heads up on this one, FV.(^:

Thanks animated starfish. Any time. Troxler dissing McB is priceless.

"If they trash McBride now, it will be easier for their readers to take if they choose Governor Bush."
Maybe that's it. There's got to be some motive, because they are never supportive of a Republican.

windchime, great post. caltrop, I see I am not the only one thinking what I told you in my recent freepmail....McMumble's non-platform is not exactly impressing this editorial writer in St. Pete either.

Did you EVER think you'd be looking to The St. Pete Times as support for a statement? LOL :)
To: summer
I hear you summer. As you may recall from our recent freepmail, IMHO this is a referendum on Bush. Recent polling indicates Bush can't top 50% and offers persuasive (to me anyway) evidence that the more the voters see of him the less they like him. Since that's the case, not being Bush may be enough to win.
When a liberal beefs about a lack of specifics in a Democrat's campaign it's ususally because he's not hearing the candidate say the things he wants to hear. I suspect McBride knows that if he tells the liberals what they want to hear it'll kill him in North Florida and the Panhandle. So far McBride's run a smart campaign. That's a lot more than I can say for Bush.
