I think the white van is a ringer as well. There are thousands of them in the area as everyplace else. They stand out. The whole thing is getting kinda out of control.

I heard a pundit say today that if you hear a shot you should duck! LOL, the idiot doesn't even realize that if you hear the shot you were not the target. If you were the target you are long gone by the time the sound reaches your ear.

This guy is hitting and running so quick that the body has not hit the ground before he is in traffic. He will be difficult to catch unless someone he knows or works with fingers him/her.

Why would it be really, really, really hard to detect direction?

The sound of a gunshot will bounce off a building and totally confuse anyone trying to figure the location of the shooter.

Even if it came from behind you it would be confusing. Any one who hunts can tell you this. It is a phenomenon of physics.

"TV Crew"

I had a dream last night that he'd hit a reporter while broadcasting live from some parking lot........490yds, right between the eyes on live TV.

Weird dream, especially knowing the distance.

It was a male reporter with brown, puffy male reporter hair.......49 trying to look 40.

That's the dream for what it's worth lol

Not to worry, I'm 3000 miles away AND I CAN PROVE IT:)

"still targets"

All GOOD snipers shoot only still targets........well, except for White Feather.

Four shootings on Thursday before last. White Flint, Aspen Hill, Silver Spring, Kensington Park equals "WASK". Google search of WASK finds some really weird stuff, ref to Eyes Wide Shut, etc. if anyone wants to pursue it.

"Woodbridge/Dale City aren't known for their liberal cultural elite"

I grew up around there and my folks still live in Montclair. They say everyone is in a panic. I told my Dad to wear a helmet and kevlar if he stops for gas....and to run to the pump in a serpentine.

People around here are really resistant to viewing things this way, but there are so many really easy and effective ways to be a terrorist the remarkable thing is how FEW there have been, particularly Muslims in the US since they're all supposedly "potential terrorists" according to FR conventional wisdom. Yet we've had a grand total of of one American Muslim actually commit an act of terror in the last year, and all the Muslims who have committed acts of terror in the US in the history of the country would comfortably fit in a largish classroom.

Reality is there are remarkably few Muslims in the US inclined towards terrorism, and I think a lot of the "cells" supposedly found are a lot of pseudo-wannabes (just as there have been a lot of pickups over the years of dumb white trash militia-type terrorist pseudo-wannabes who talk big and draw up plans and practice with weapons but don't do anything.)

Mapquest of previous Thursday's shootings, shows times between first 3 are right near Mapquest estimates with a few minutes to spare. Last shooting delta time was an hour too long. Did they stop for breakfast? Were they taped?

""with five arms"

Take it from an ex-professional baseball player........... three of those arms would just get in your way!

But seriously, the way Abbott fielded the ball, transferring his glove, was really amazing. Do you remember the Jimmy Stewart movie from the 50's about a major league baseball pitcher who was shot in a hunting accident, and had to play basically with one leg? And hitters (probably cold-hearted Conservatives) bunted on him. Yoi!

"I just saw a fat drunk driving an Oldsmobile off a bridge in Martha's Vineyard"

I have a few family members who have lived in Edgartown since the very early 70's. They have spoken to the REAL witnesses to the Kopechne "event". (cab drivers, The Shiretown employees, etc.) Although I can't tolerate Old Teddy's politics, the insiders up on 'The Island' say that Teddy was covering for one of Bobby's sons who was trying to get "lucky" that night with an older girl. So, it could have been an act of valor, not what most people think. Just a thought!

Armed Gunman, the redundancy of that phrase is precious.

On top of that, in this PC world of ours, shouldn't that be gunPERSON??? Fireman is out in favor of firefighter. Policeman is out in favor of police officer. Etc., etc. So why not? LOL

Rush hour traffic - even after 9:00AM - is pretty tough in that part of the county.

How fortunate that he was armed... otherwise, how would she know he was a gunman?
