[history]
Microsoft Corp. on Friday said that a patch it released Thursday for an Outlook Express vulnerability erroneously tells users they need a different version of Internet Explorer in order to install the fix. In fact, the patch requires IE 6, but users who have installed Service Pack 1 for the browser are already protected against the new flaw. Thus when these users try to install the new patch, they receive an error message.

Microsoft reminds me of Washington DC, it itself is fundamentally flawed, irreversibly broken.
No matter how hard they outwardly try there will always be a need to rely on them for yet another patch all the while putting out a continuous line of busted programs and flawed junk.
Gee
sounds like DC?

THis is funny, as it brings to mind something I almost always see stated when discussions about how slow microsoft is to release patches. The apologists will say "that's because their patches are
regression tested".
What a joke. Their testing group must be about as talented as their programmers.

Perhaps you could point me at some software that doesn't have any bugs. I've been searching for years and I've never found any. Perhaps you know something that the rest of the world doesn't.
