I'm going to nitpick and remind everyone that Finns(my grandma's family is Finnish) are not Nordic, nor Scandinavian(except geographically)

Ethnically and linguistically, they share more with Turkic tribes that moves West from the steppes in Asia, than they do with any Germanic Swede. Look at their eyes too, very different usually.

Nordic just means North. Finns belong to the Baltic-Finnic branch of the Ural-Altaic Languages.

I think it is safe to say that the Finns have been Scandicized the way the Bulgarians have been Slavicised.

My family is from finland on one side.

The look like norsemen. They are scandinavian to a fault.

Their ancestry may be exactly as you say... but they are northern europeans in every meaningful way.
