and are still very popular in some moslem countries.

That aside, the Tarot card is weird. I have no clue what it means. The shooters could ne home-grown nutcases, McVeigh reincarnates, or Islamic terrorists. We won't know until we know.

I have thought about this as well. What if, however, the terrorists did NOT mean us to think that they believe themselves to be god, but rather that they are sending a message to us from allah. For the infidels to see these shootings as the judgement of god and as a message communicated from allah directly. Thoughts?

There are lots of other things the Koran does not permit, but the hijackers certainly violated a bunch of them when they visited lap dance bars just before 9/11.

I don't think this applies to Islamists who consider themselves embarked on a Jihad.

I may stand corrected on this, but I think that in this case any sort of deception or
feint in the cause of killing infidels is justified.

Weren't there reports of some of the 9-11 terrorist crews frequenting strip joints
(in Las Vegas or Florida) and downing drinks with alcohol while they were
blending in with "us" and preparing to kill our fellow citizens?

The truth is, these al-Queda killers are not Islamic fundamentalists, but rather leftist political terrorists, and they are just fine with things no Moslem would do--witness the drinking binges for the hijackers the night before 9/11.

I think it is very odd that the police have not released the tarot card to the public -- how do we know that the word God on the card was not really Allah. They released the anthrax envelopes almost immediately in hopes someone could identify the handwriting. It continues to baffle me why the card would not be released unless there was something on it that the authorities think would lead to un-PC behavior.
