JOHN Cusack enjoys the perks of movie stardom. The affable actor is particularly fond of "celebrity looting." During an interview with Black Book magazine, Cusack pointed out a Roots clothing store and said, "We did celebrity looting there . . . They asked me to come over, patronize the store, pick up some stuff. So I took all my friends over, and we went straight for the $8,000 rack of leather coats and took a bunch. The managers, they get all nervous and twitchy. They freak. But you just look at 'em really hard and walk out. That's celebrity looting."

John Cusack and his family went (go?) to the Catholic Church at Northwestern University.

I'm hoping against hope that he somehow has managed to live a virtuous personal life as a famous actor, though maybe I already know the answer considering the Hollywood values that most, if not all of his movies, espouse.

Oh the other night on Conan...Martin Sheen gave O'Brian a Saint Francis prayer card (cause we all know what a good Catholic Sheen is) and he talked about his son's new bride --he csaid he couldn't remember her name (seriously!) but he was so pleased that she is also a Catholic --- because we all know how important that is, you know Charlie Sheen is *so* concerned about his religion and all...

John's sister, Joan, married a big shot Chicago lawyer who at the least grew up Catholic. Last I heard she was trying to maintain her primary residence in Chicago so she could have a fighting chance of having a good family life. She also insisted that her sitcom (now cancelled) was filmed in Chicago.

I still say the odds are terrible. Jeri Ryan ("Star Trek: The Next Gereration") was married to a Catholic from Chicago and converted to Catholicism herself. She also tried to keep her main residence in Chicago, but they divorced.
