Hooray for another beautiful example of why ignorance is the predominant disease in the United States. Not only has he shown a complete disregard for accuracy, Mr. Montana has also made one of the most abbrasive blanket statements to grace this site yet (which is quite a statement in itself).

I challenge each of you who has praised his string of ludicrous cliams to find factual support for them. In fact, I challenge Mr. Montana himself to present all of you with factual resources to support his statements. Sadly, this will not happen because people who speak in such a way as Mr. Montana do not have factual, reliable sources, and those sources that are provided generally are written by people of similar, bigoted viewpoints.

People, how hard is it for you to grow up and realize when someone is wrong? Just because someone uses the language well does not mean you have to agree with them. Try agreeing when a person is correct, rather than when they sound nice.

Which one(s) of his claims do you disagree with and what is your evidence? So far, your entire statement was nothing but a blanket condemnation, which is the very thing you accused Montana of doing.

I might add you have a closed mind. If you want to refute something, quote your own sources. If anything turns me off to a post, it is when the poster uses the term "ignorance".

Ignorance is the indicator that you have nothing valid to say, rather just attack. If that is all you have to say, why bother posting here, there are other forums more in tune with your thinking and style of attacking.

Dear Signed-Up-10-14-2002:

Refer to Robert Spencer's book Islam Unveiled for an excellent summary of the case for GaryMontana's position. It is liberally footnoted and referenced, and you will not find a dull page in it.

He expresses my opinion prefectly.

Which one of these statements in GaryMontana's article are false?

1. Every one of the hijackers who flew airliners into the World Trade Center and Pentagon were professing and practicing Moslems, as is Osama bin Laden.

2. The Al Qaeda terrorist network, is based in Moslem countries and supported financially by the so called pious Moslem leadership of Saudi Arabia.

3. The overwhelming majority of Moslem religious authorities who have spoken out on the subject, including those at the main mosque in Mecca and Egypt’s prestigious Al Azar University, either endorse or rationalize acts of terrorism.

4. On a day when Americans were incinerated or buried under tons of rubble, Muslims from Nigeria to Indonesia, celebrated in the streets.

5. Sept. 11 was one chapter in a 1400-year jihad.

6. Every day, the World Trade Center massacre is reenacted on a smaller scale somewhere in the world.

7. Jewish women and children are burned alive in a bus in Israel.

8. A missionary is beheaded in the Philippines, gunmen shoot up a church in Pakistan (deliberately firing into the prostrate bodies of women trying to shield their children).

9. Ancient monasteries and convents are destroyed in Kosovo.

10. Women are sentenced to death for adultery in Nigeria, Hindus are murdered in the Kashmir.

11. In Denmark, the Muslim community there has put a $30,000 bounty on the heads of Jews and those who support Israel.

12. Nuns are beheaded in Baghdad, Christians in Sudan are forced into slavery, and in Britain, Islam openly states it is going to take over not only the UK, but the whole world ...

You state the author "has shown a complete disregard for accuracy," and has made "the most abbrasive blanket statements to grace this site yet." Of the 12 short excerpts posted above, which ones are untrue and why?

Were you born this stupid or is there a special school for aquiring your level of it?

Its odd that you can't even refute any of the thesis, just spout off how anyone who praises it is obviously being mislead.

Put up or scurry back under that DU rock you came from...

I think that garymontana is generally correct in his assertions. In the course of discussions about issues we do not normally require people to have footnotes for every single detail, assertion or fact they mention, especially in an editorial. So, you are asking for a special set of standards for garymontana. Then you said that we had to have these special higher standards for people like him because his point of view is wrong. Would it be too much to ask for you to provide sources that each of his assertions are false? I'm sure it wouldn't be because you said that garymontana's participation in public debate was illegitimate unless he did this. So, surely you will live by the same standards.

DeviantMind - that is an interesting screen name. Perhaps you're just bent on civilizational suicide and the promotion of evil. Why else would you pick that screen name and then have this hysterical attack on garymontana, wanting to make up special standards just for him, as if you're some sort of gate-keeper for truth.

For someone who joined just today, you seem to be very well informed.

What gives you the basis to hector on your supposedly first day on FR? Have you been previously kicked out or are you just a very quick learner? I doubt very much that the latter is the case: you seem unable to differentiate even between singular and plural.

Prove to me that I said one thing that is FALSE? I dare you!

The religion of peace you defend struck in Bali this weekend. There is information coming out that Islam attacked Finland. In Europe Synagogues are burnt to the ground by ISLAM. Perhaps it is time we returned the favor!

Islam is using the Jews as a scapegoat just like Hitler did in the 1930's and 1940's. Soon they will do the same thing to all of Christianity.

How many times must we put up with Islamo-Facism's attacks on the human race! Sadly our government has been too cowardly to stand up to today's cancer - Islam.

Perhaps you do not care for the truth. After all the Islamic faith time and again calls on people to lie, murder, cheat and destroy any non-Muslims who do not convert.

Islam in the Koran openly states one should kill or convert any non-Muslim. Mohammed the false prophet married a girl six years old - that is SICK.

If we ever hope to rid the world of the political AIDS of our time, we must understand this: One does not deal with terrorists; one does not bargain with terrorists; one kills terrorists. It is time we stopped surrendering over sovereignty to United Nations, it is time we got a backbone. The politically correct crowd is more than welcome to leave our country and move to Canada, Sweden, or Saudi Arabia.

If that rule is too much for the United States to stomach, we shall resign ourselves not only of the constant hatred of the Third World, but worse, bombs in U.S. department stores, and other public places. The terror that is taking place in Israel today will soon find its place in the USA.

One of the great problems with Americans is that we foolishly assume that everyone else is equally decent. Too many Americans assume that everyone else is equally decent even in light of 9/11. We assume that, all humans being equal, all cultures are therefore similar in concepts and values. Sadly, that is simply not so. The Middle East is just not the Middle West.

The Moslem world has unique cultures and values that in so many cases are at variance with those of the West. Human rights - especially those of non-Moslems or non- Arabs - simply do not have the same absolute value that we do in the West.

Above all, it is not decency or goodness of gentleness that impresses the Middle East, but strength. Because of this, the U.S. is looked on as a paper tiger by the Muslim world - with all the accompanying contempt. President Bush’s constant flexing of muscle, with absolutely no reaction to the weapons of mass destruction being built in Iraq headed for use against the USA and the constant shooting of our aircraft, slaughter and abuse of U.S. citizens, UN abuse of our sovereignty has created for him an image of one who speaks loudly and carries a small twig.

That is the heart of the problem. The answer? Never, ever deal with terrorists. Hunt them down and, more important, mercilessly punish those states and groups that fund, arm, support, or simply allow their territories to be used by the terrorists with impunity.

It is abundantly clear that Syria wished to, terrorists would be deprived of huge areas of haven in Lebanon. But why should Syria want to? Or Iraq? They're happily enjoying Western agony without suffering one bit. And that is the key: Make them suffer.

Terror in Iraqi cities would convince those unworthy states that sponsor terrorism (Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria etc..) that it is unhealthy to do so. If Iraq, and the other Muslin nations that support terrorists, are mercilessly dealt with, terrorism would soon end.

The question is whether we in the United States have the stomach to defeat terror or whether we Americans will sink into "the mercy of fools." When one refrains from terror against terrorists, he is not better than they. He will be deader, and there is nothing moral of ethical about that.

MrDeviantMind,If You are so full of knowledge about Islam as your post implies, then you will know that what Montana said is true, every single word of it! I studied this religion for a very long time way before Sept11th, and I also have a close family member who is living in the middle east who has told me for years exactly what Montana said. He lives among them, He knows what is going on and what their intent is. Too bad some of the American people are too PC minded to know it even when it is staring them in the face!
Islam is a blood religion, by the sword, and they intend to covert us or kill us, period!
