Thier 2.1%(To us.) oil supply would be easier to get if we let them off the hook.

If we ended all the sanctions, we would get more oil. This is NOT about oil. As a mtter of fact, hostilities will HURT oil profits. Just so you know.

I think hostilities would boost oil profits in the short-run. Everyone who has reserves could charge more for those.

Long-run, a stable Iraq brings prices down though, and helps all. I personally agree with Rush from 10 years ago, that the Gulf War was not only about stopping agression but about maintaining the "free flow of oil at market prices"

Who has more terrorists running around in their country AND has an a-bomb? Pakistan. I am not against the Bush policy on Iraq, but let's not kid ourselves, the US needs the region's oil to flow freely. A democratic Iraq, with US bases located there, makes a big difference in many areas, and not just in stopping terrorism.
