Your analysis is dead on and I agree we have oil in mind but I do not think Oil is why we want to take out Saddam.
I hate to get into the Realpolitik of the world but Pakistan has a Military Dictatorship that is friendly to our country. Dont laugh to hard, but they are TRYING to maintain normalcy. I am not happy that they have to maintain it at the threat of violence but as the Libs say, "You have to go for the consensus."

Iraqi intel was involved in the first WTC bombing. So, if they were involved in the first, why not the second?
Iraqi intel TRAINED people to hijack planes with simple weapons to crash into US installations. Sure,there is no DIRECT link, but camps to do the exact same thing exist in two places in Iraq.
Of course, there is no DIRECT link to Iraqi intel, but EVERY Intel group uses the same cop-out and while it might be a matter of law, we all know it is BS. Hell, even we use the same excuse..
SO, Iraqi trained Al Queda agents use Iraqi methods to blow us up but there is no PROOF they did so. LOL! Hell, if they train there and develop strategy there to use against us and Iraqi Intel is found to be DIRECTING them... it is no good because they say the agents have been fired. DO you belive that?
