Hornady/Speer/Sierra all make "ballistic tips" projectiles have polycarbonate tips. Hit a prarie dog with one & it literaly blows up if velocity is high enough.

Truly just a theory, but can anyone tell me the typical number of people in a "cell?" Here goes, until tonight, I thought we might be looking at two people. All of a sudden the thought dawned, why not an interchangeable "tag team" with one common objective, all trained to be skilled snipers. Every time someone brought up another "it doesn't fit" on FNC, using this theory, it ALL fits.

Also, it looks like we may have a clue in the time of the shootings, wasn't the one tonight merely ONE HOUR later than the last? Is this a type of "count down...." Finally, I am convinced that there are additional clues in the names of the places that the shootings are taking place. Could someone list the places (city, area, name of facility) of each shooting in order?

It's odd, but in 9-11, the amount of American history that seemed to be taken into account did not seem coincidental.... ie: the fact that George Washington became first president in the FIRST capital literally across the street from the WTC..... It just seems strange that again we have an ongoing, defies typical description shooting spree going on in the bosom of early American history....Fredericksburg....Manassas....George Washington......

Also, in doing some homework regarding Michael, it appears there is a Muslim belief that angels make pilgrimages FIVE times every day, heralded by Gabriel, LED by Michael (who's name means "Who is as God.")

Again, perhaps coincidence, but how many shootings occured on 10-02? Is it just too late or does anyone see the same possibility?

"but I thought your suspected perps were in the Hampton Roads area? If so, that's about an hour-and-a-half or two hours away from here. That's highway hours, not northern Virginia rush-hour hours. "

New research this morning shows his actual name being in Fairfax. Possibly a relative or old address for Hampton. Maybe he just moved? Hampton # is disconnected.

For the life of me, I can't see how he could have defended his dissertation. But, I never see them post it under his name. The always say, Ex-Homicide Detective.

Earnest prayer that we won't find out anything further ... meaning that the shooter is stopped; otherwise, we're back to a target a day ...

This whackjob could be so far gone that he shops at Michael's before he strikes. Then goes home and decoorates his house with paper floral arrangements

Sounds like you're trying to pin this on Christopher Lowell.

I don't believe that. Shutting down a few remote towers is fairly simple but shutting down a nationwide grid that handles millions of calls every minute is about as difficult as shutting down the internet. You'd need all the carriers to agree to shut down. Too difficult.

I'm thinking cell sizes would be 5-6 people but, I don't know why I think that.

I was just thinking about the possibility of multiple teams. Perhaps one scouting gas stations, another team scouting michaels, another schools, etc.

Kim, the zig-zagging has been mentioned as one of several tips over the airwaves in the last week.

I said before on this thread or another, that my sister did this on her way into Circuit City in Rockville on Sat a.m.. Said there was a Micheal's two doors down. People were watching her but she didn't care.

If someone had a CCW License they might have more experience with the ability of knowing where the shot came from.
It's also possible that one of these times, someone with a CCW license will be within running distance to where the killer is and that person might be able to get to the killer before the killer sees that person. It already happened exactly like that during one of the school shootings and the killer tried to drive away. The vice Principal retrieved his gun from the car and pulled the killer from the car.
There is also the idea that every cop in the nation has a handgun on him. We aren't going to send them all home, are we?

because 5-6 people are manageable... any more than that, is a waste of resources, and increases the potential for detection...

I know for a fact that every Home Depot has security cameras that monitor the parking lots. One of my friends works at a home depot in Aspen Hill Maryland and he tells me that they have cameras everywhere at Home Depot. I would imagine there will be some evidence on it

Apparently cell phone used was suspended nationwide tonight for about an hour after this lastest shooting....My mother in lower SC tried to call home several times; cell phone not working then. When she got home local TV (Charleston, SC) announced cell phone use suspension...can anyone else confirm or source this? I could understand the immediate VA area but nationwide?????

That's the first I've heard of that. How would the people in Virginia use their phones to report the cream colored van's location if they shutdown the cellular network?

"Brings to mind the "six degress of separation" theory."

I know the term and have heard of the movie. I'm embarrassed to show my ignorance but could you explain the teory to me?

There used to be a website along these lines...you could sign up and make "connections", supposedly, with every single person on the Internet through these degrees.

Anyway, the theory is that everyone in the world is connected through six degrees or less...you know someone who knows other people who knows a bunch of other people, repeat six times, and eventually any complete stranger will be a "friend of a friend."

What this has to do with the current situation I'm not sure, except that someone we know must know someone who knows someone who knows someone who's been shot, etc. It doesn't matter. The fear comes from knowing it could happen anywhere, any time, not from knowing a victim.

You made me laugh out loud just visualizing that.
