CNN Headline News is reporting that a woman has been shot near a Home Depot in Falls Church, VA, and that authorities are investigating whether this is another sniper attack.

It's not that I didn't start in mid-afternoon, but between my lack of experience, and the complications presented by an old sagging floor and ancient piping, it was almost midnight when I realized that there was one more thing I needed to complete the job, and put the toilet right side up again. It was after midnight when I got to Home Depot, but bless 'em, they were still open.

This sounds logical to me as well.... I mean if you have say six people, all well trained, in three teams, how much easier would it be to make these moves without detection. BECAUSE.... (here's a movie script theory) the OTHER two could be in the neighborhood to pick the others up in any kind of car.... they are looking for two people not four....a truck, not a sedan.....etc...

And if they get caught... oh well? They DON'T CARE.....

It's very late. It appears that there are definitely some mosques, etc. in Falls Church but they show PO Boxes rather than physical addresses. I didn't get what you wanted me to look for on the link. Once again, the Michael's store connection jumps out at you. I don't understand how the authorities can have failed to narrow down their search considerably based on the fact that all (or virtually all) of the shootings took place near this store, which is a chain but not exactly McDonald's or Giant Food. Isn't it reasonable to expect that they would have, long before now, compiled a list of all former and present employees of Michael's living in the D.C. metro area who own a white van or truck? My faith in the abilities of these Keystone Kops wanes each day. I know the area of the shooting very well, and if they indeed had all the major roads blocked off within a few minutes, there is no way out of there other than through those major outlets. Therefore, I don't understand how he (or they) could have escaped. Since we've heard of no arrests at this point, however, I have to conclude that once again they've failed to catch this terrifying killer. I can't help but wonder how much more effective they might be if the criminal at large was terrorizing local doughnut shops.

Tinfoil hat alert! :) Just kidding - actually, I tend to wear that hat now and then, and I have considered it. No, really, if it's any kind of prototype I'm thinking more along the lines of a test by the AQ weasels to see how our LEO's work. Could be a test to see how well they could carry out such an operation nationwide.

I've read many Freepers saying "I hope it is AQ" so our war on terrorism can gain steam, or saying "I hope it isn't AQ" because the prospect of having more of the same nationwide is so horrible. I hope it isn't. But what really scares me is that even if this is an unrelated domestic sicko, AQ is learning from him!
