PRESS: But, Ann, there are people who have killed in the name of Jesus. There have been millions of people killed in the name of Jesus. Isnt the problem with Christianity or with Judaism or Islam, people who misinterpret the message of the religion and then go out and do their own evil things? Its not the leader of the religion, the founder of the religion. Its their misguided followers.
Looks like we could all just go Communist, for all this guy cares.
Who are these "millions of people killed in the name of Jesus"?

Ann's right. I guess the towelheads in Iran will finally get around to issuing a fatwa against her cause she wants to convert them to Christianity and is defending Fallwell and Robertson. That's one gutsy girl facing Bill Press there. Go Ann, go!!! :)

Who are these "millions of people killed in the name of Jesus"? A good reference book on this is Will Durant's History of Civilization, Part 1, Our Oriental Heritage. It chronicles in a heartbreaking overview the corruption and then savagery of both Islam and Christianity, as well as quite a few others.
A much shorter book that deals only with Christianity is A World Lit Only by Fire, by William Manchester. It reviews the Renaissance and Reformation and is actually a very captivating book.
Unfortunately, believers will always have to draw a distinct line between "Christendom" and the Christian faith, religion versus faith. Religion is just much too seductive for the state (or military leaders) to leave alone. It affords them too much power over the minds of people and the leader and its people become totally corrupt and utterly evil.
