A "Bat Cave" need not necessarily be a storage unit or a Mosque.

It could be an empty 40' container on an 18 wheeler parked nearby but out of sight. Just drive right in, close up, and then drive the big truck away.

Gone, and the cops can search all day.

This is a "Bat Cave" that could be mobile and used anyplace. The requirements are a good hiding (parking) place nearby and proper recon and practice of escape routes to the big truck.

After learning today of possible Pentagon assistance to the shooter task force, I can't wait to hear her question for Ari at the next press conference:

I would think that these 10 should be ruled out after last night, unless they followed one to the Home Depot... huh?

You'd think so. But, it probably keeps all the excess agents busy.

I would say it would be under a co-conspirators type indictment with equal penalty for all unless the conspirators could prove otherwise.

If you look at the Oregon Indictment or Moussaoui indictment, you'll see how it works.

Unfortunately, I do not know any other cases off hand and no inference is intended.

Has anyone determined the exact time of the shot? All that I have seen so far is "about 9:15". If the shot was fired at 9:11, wouldn't that be something to consider as a possible message? 9:11 referencing the WTC attacks?

And what about ALL the shots that were NOT at 9:11?

I think it's a group; I think LEO knows this, and I think that everyone in the group has an airtight alibi for at least one of the shootings. I have been thinking at least three, but now I'm not sure. there could be a couple of shooters and several more doing planning, surveillance, and decoying, not to mention a network of homes and places to hide the van.

I've been thinking it was a cell for the last few days. I can't quite figure out the logic of using the same gun though. Any idea?

That would prove the lone gunman theory. He has one gun he likes to use and uses it everytime or he only has one gun.

I don't know if this has been posted or if it is relevant. But a guest (I don't know who he was) was on Neal Boortz's show this morning and he says the woman killed last night was a terrorism threat analyst. Apparently, she worked in the next cube of said guests brother in law.

Ofcourse, it could be coincidence. If so, one lucky shot.

Could be the same person with one or two cars and maybe disguises himself just enough to confuse the police into thinking it is more than one person.

If this is the work of a cell and they are illegals, purchasing guns through the system is difficult. Even the low lifes who sell guns via the black market, may be reluctant post 9/11 to sell a gun to a swarthy type. They may just have the one gun.
