I haven't been able to find California's "long-standing authority" anywhere in my copy of the Constitution. Perhaps the editorial staff of the Sac Bee has been reading Calhoun. They must think it's the right of their State to nullify Federal Law regarding interstate commerce. We know that the 9th Circuit Court of Schlemiels can't be relied upon to uphold the law, so who knows how this will turn out.

That's only half of the problem. The State thinks it has "long-standing authority" to nullify the laws of physics.
