I would hope Mr Edgerton was being somewhat sarcastic considering the argument coming from the far left. Personally I don't expect reparations, even though yankees did tear through our nation without respect for women, children, or property.

I suppose that there is a chance that he was misquoted. I'm sure that there will be many future posts on this trek and we'll see what he says as time goes by. But I'm still wondering if he's being serious.

He mentioned the same reparations thing to me is a conversation I had with him. I did not press the subject, nor can I speak for him. But, I would take it as a rhetorical device to counter the silly, yet serious goal of certain ones to receive reparations for slavery.
