that sounds about right ... the F-4 Phantom II was beautiful, in a kinda ugly way ... how it ever flew, essentially a brick with two tiny wings and carried double the bomb load of a WWII B-17 Flying Fortress is amazing ... 36,000lbs of afterburning J-79's I guess ... (well, I'm certain) ... JP-5? ... I thought they all ran on JP-4 ... I know JP-7 was SR-71 fuel ... I asked an Air Force E-5 KC-10 tanker crewman how they kept SR-71 fuel separate ... he declared it was on the same tanks ... I told him no way, the KC-10's GE engines wouldn't run on JP-7 and it took TEB to start the SR-71's J-58's anyway ...

it was mid-90's (1996 IIRC) so the whole fleet, except NASA's birds, were retired anyway ... he'd probably never had an SR pull up on him ... and so a KC-10 could share "gas" with the birds it refueled ...

Glad you liked the info. Yeah, the JP-4/5 was a typo. The only time I got to see him do his job myself was when he was doing Touch-and-GOs at night, located I believe at Fentress field in Chesapeake, Virginia. I love the smell of JP-4 during afterburner... it smells like victory!

I agree with your assessment. GWB's economic and political interests draw him to attack Iraq - why? Because the American public has been thoroughly brainwashed to accept that Saddam is a "Hitler" and "Stalin" resurrected.

My reason is affected by what I saw us do to a small defensless country called Serbia.

Serbia was a victime of incredible anti-Serb propoganda orchastrated out of Washington and London. Then when they didn't subcome to the blackmail and threats we attacked and destroyed that small country.

Could someone here please explain to me why Serbia was not permitted to fight against the Muslim Jihad terrorists burning and killing in the Serb province of Kosovo? Serb self-defense was deemed "horrible" by us and Milosevics was declared a "worse than Hitler". Now, President Bush declares that he has a right to attack a small Arab country thousands of miles away - "in defense" of US.

So:

Serb attack on Albanian Muslim Jihad terrorits = bad, bad, bad

GWB attack on Iraqi Muslim Jihad terrorits = good, good, good
