North Korea Admits Nuclear Weapons Program
Fox News | 10/16/02 | Brytani

Breaking News on Fox

Fox has just confirmed North Korea has admitted to the United States that they have a secret nuclear weapons program. This breaks a treaty signed with the Clinton Administration, in exchange for N. Korea not having nuclear weapons, the US agreed to build non-lethal nuclear plants for them.

Once again, Clinton's treaties turn out to be worth as much as his word.

"The world is rapidly moving back towards bipolar camps, only this time it is not east vs west, it is civilized and law abiding vs uncivilized and barbaric. Better to identify our friends and foes now."

There's a lot involved. We need to balance that with the fruit to be gained by a divide and conquer approach. We probably couldn't pick off a few juice pieces like Iraq and its neighbors if those neighbors and China felt threatened and fully backed them.

At some point that will no longer be possible. We'll have extended our reach once too often to be ignored. Then global division and containment will be more appropriate.

"I am of the opinion that the merely an attempt to construct WMD should be the trigger. Especially of the country attemption to construct such weapons is a communist country, with a history of human rights violations, with whom you have a negotiated cease fire. "

Perhaps, but timing is an issue as well. See #321

"More of Clinton's incompetence and neglect of our National Security coming back to haunt us".

It's not the incompetence so much as the TREASON that angers
me.

It's OK and yes lots of good insight from AmericanInTokyo, maui_hawaii, and others here about this

I was listening to Rush earlier and he went OFF on a caller who called Bush a cowboy and this was all his fault.

Rush started yelling out this guy to shut the h*ll up, called him a liberal dumb @$$ that had not a clue of how serious things were while pounding his fist on the table .. It was GREAT hearing Rush

But...but...Bill Clinton told us that we didn't have to worry about North Korea anymore.

Clinton gave them a 6-year bribe to keep quiet until he left office.
Never a thought about the US, but only about himself.
How anyone in their right mind can support Demonrats is beyond me.

I wouldn't mind knowing what this one says as well.

A poster image of missiles attacking the U.S. Capitol building hangs on a wall of a shoe factory in Sinuiju, in North Korea, Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002.

My humble suggestion for North Korea? NUKE 'EM NOW! I'm still truly pissed about the Korean War and my two school buddies that are buried there and two more ex-Marine friends minus legs they left in that bloody place.

You are so right. But unfortunately, the Neville Chamberlain's / Harry Truman's are still holding sway over the State Dept. and Pentagon. Not to mention Bush Sr. As Bush Jr. said, the 'we don't want the first evidence of (nuclear) violations to be a mushroom cloud'. We already have a bloody ADMISSION after they were busted by the NSA. First Use can't be far behind. We were already deterred because of China from doing any proactive preemption. But now they will be able to use their NKVD nuclear-proxy to attack the South, and who knows, Japan or the West Coast of the U.S. This is precisely the genie we wanted to stuff back in the bottle, and Clinton/Gore/Albright/Strobe/Perry let out. Treason sure seems to be okay with the media these days.

Nervous. Upset. Pissed off. Totally distrustful of anything N. Korea sez. Often the liberal media tries to tell Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tanaka in Japan what to think, but they cannot force them in the lib PC direction on this one. Every Japanese has an allergy to nuclear weapons. This transcends all politics for them.

Very upset with North Korea.

The world is rapidly moving back towards bipolar camps, only this time it is not east vs west, it is civilized and law abiding vs uncivilized and barbaric. Better to identify our friends and foes now.

You've summed it up nicely. And that is what is happening particularly in the case of N. Korea... a two pronged approach. One prong is to put some ideas and bait out there to bring some into our camp.

The other prong is to open a can of whoop ass on the wacko-nut jobs.

In essence its turning half of the country against the other half.
