Heh heh, no I don't think the police are too effective, but there is a general perception among law and order sheeple that they are safe because of them, when they don't believe that anymore it'll be Mad Max time. ;)

Actually, in a doomsday scenario, I think a lot of the L&O sheeple would prefer to hole up, and -in some cases- die at home.

The Mad Max situations would play out in some areas, but regional warlords would soon restore relative calm.
