The sizemoligy equipment we have all over the world can detect even a minor earthquake from very long distances. We have all kinds of highly sophistacated equipment in South Korea that can easily detect any kind of ground tremors. I would love to sit here a give you an idiot lesson about how sensitive our atmospheric monortoring satellites are and their ability to detect even the slightest change in temperature along with pinpointing the source, But I will let you do your own research. Of course there is. Ever hear of a small tactical nuke? The current testing, design and technology is focused on smaller nukes, not for large globe busting nukes. It's the wave of the future for nukes......
Oh, and I will readily admit that I am not an expert in nuclear weapons, but at least I do know where the future technology is being focused.
