The Lead Listing fills a need to provide parents, landlords, and real estate professionals with an effective means of identifying trained lead service providers to help prevent childhood lead poisoning. The Lead Listing was developed to address the time-sensitive need for compliance with the requirements of Section 1018 of Title X (Residential Lead-Based Paint Hazard Reduction Act of 1992) on disclosure of lead hazards at the sale or lease of pre-1978 residential property. Renovators trained in lead-safe practices were added to The Lead Listing in the summer of 1999 to help the public locate these professionals in anticipation of increases in demand for lead-trained renovation services resulting from a 1998 federal rule. This rule requires renovators to provide a lead hazard information pamphlet to owners and occupants of target housing prior to commencing renovation on or after June 1,1999 (final rule 40 CFR Part 745, June 1, 1998 under the authority of section 406(b) of the Toxic Substances Control Act as amended by Title X, the Residential Lead-Based Paint Hazard Reduction Act of 1992).

Last week, accusations of voter registration fraud began to surface in several counties. Dead people had been registered, people were registered in counties other than where they live, and names were misspelled, signatures didn’t match.

Throughout the state, there are massive voter registration drives being conducted by both political parties, tribal governments and national organizations. Nichols currently is the only person charged.

Call me paranoid, but the implication in this portion of the story is that the fruad is being done by both parties.

Yes, careful reading shows only Democrates have been implicated, but could there be "gloss it over for the 'rats" slant in this story?
