Here in North Carolina, the Gubna used up state funds to cover his goofs. He still uses the $2000.00 per-hour (taxpayer funded) helicopter to reach his beach house on the weekends.

And Carolina may have the only Senate candidate being sued. RAT, Erskine Bowles was added to a Connecticut lawsuit to recover more than $120 million in lost pension funds.

Here in New York, the Dems have controlled the Assembly and the RINOs have controlled the Senate since the early 60s. A cozy relationship exists between the two bodies as each side divides up pork and draws up districts to protect incumbency. We have several cases where RINO State Senators endorse Dem candidates for the State Assembly and vice versa. This has not been helped by the fact that for much of the last century (and on into the current one), New York has been governed by Dem Socialists (Hugh Carey being the only fiscally conservative Dem I can think of) and RINOs (think Tom Dewey, Nelson Rockefeller and George Pataki). Government grows bigger and bigger each year and fights over the budget (this state has NEVER in my lifetime submitted a budget by the deadline) have less to do with the size of it than "who gets what share of the pie." Of course there are NO term limits in New York either.

As far as out and out corruption goes, however, I'd say that New Jersey and Connecticut are far worse than New York. Outside of my area, however, I would say that the Banana Republic of Louisiana takes the cake.

NO NO, wait. Here in IL we've had the most corrupt REPUBLICAN (i'm embarrassed to say) governor EVER - in fact, he may be the most corrupt governor, ever, of either party here in IL. Every one of his cronies were indicted and either convicted or have yet to be convicted (hopefully) of selling drivers licenses to unfit haulers, for bribes, and this has been responsible for multiple deaths on IL highways due to drivers who couldn't control their rigs and who killed and killed and killed.

Then of course, we have Mayor Daley in Chicago, who has to be the absolute characature of a sleazeball. The Chicago aldermen/women just voted for slavery reparations. The gubernatorial race is between an honest guy (Jim Ryan - no relations George Ryan - our current criminal governor) and Rod Blagoyavich - I call him bag'oshits (as do many) - he's as corrupt as they come. Young, sort of handsome (altho not to this lady's eye) and so tied in with the Chicago demo corruption that we are doomed to be run by special interests yet again here in IL.

Durbin, who never met a republican that he liked, is due to be re-elected as senator. So I think, by virtue of the fact that we've returned to Al Capone politics and criminality here in IL, WE deserve to be known as the most corrupt state in the Union.

I didnt read them all so i dont know if it was already said.

But here in Connecticut we got some very corrupt leaders.

We have a tax and spend liberal for Governor (Rowland), who is actually a big wig in the Republican Party but no one will sponsor him on a national scale cuz and he got arrested for beating his wife a few years ago. When he was elected all the media outlets applied for a freedom of information act on his arrest form, but the Judge denied it. All the people who were involved in the decision to cover it up all got high paying government jobs after that. The fear is that if he gets a national position, that the media will again try to open the case up on him, and it will no longer be possible to cover. (This kind of an Urban Legend i guess, it hasnt been proven false but nobody knows for sure and everyone talks about it.)

He is also squandering all of our taxes away on some Grandiose Shopping Center/Amusement Park called Adrians Landing which is supposed to turn Hartford, probably one of the most run down cities in this country, into some kind of booming metropolis.

The Mayor of Waterbury was arrested for having sexual relations with a 13 year old.

The mayor of Bridgeport is was arrested for various charges, Bribery, Racketeering, Extortion, Wire Fraud, Imbezzlement. He basically looted the town treasury until it became bankrupt.

And the mayor of my town of Rocky Hill, I swear has ties to the Mafia.

And we have Lieberman and Dodd, need i say more?

You guys are lucky cuz you actually have a Republican candidate to vote for. Here in CT, we have only have a Democratic Party, just some of them like to call themselves Republicans.

Minnesota sounds quite mild compared to the states mentioned here.....we do have WellStoned though, with his union thug buddies and Democratic Socialist of America scheme to steal the election, high taxes, Gov. Turnbuckle, etc.

OK, I can't stand it. Georgia with only one vote??

The state which is so corrupt it had THREE GOVERNORS at the SAME TIME???

The state which, less than 10 years ago, produced the LARGEST VOTER FRAUD CONSPIRACY CONVICTION in the history of the United States???

The state where it is legal to list "voter haulers" on campaign expense reports???

The state where state legislators buy high-priced condominiums in downtown Atlanta with campaign contributions???

The state where the soon-to-be-former governor was about to enrich many of his closest and wealthiest contributors by running "the Northern Arc" interstae connector through their often recently purchased land???

The state which produced The Federal Reserve System (Jekyll Island)???

The state which had been in complete control of the Dems from 1870 (or so) until this coming January???

Come on. We win, but we're damned sure about to make it better! Finally.

Best regards,
