Something doesn't sound right... I don't think they would be that careless to leave a shell in it... Unless they wanted it to be found.

Thanks, I wondered where they found it. I'm surprised, I figured they'd be stolen..but then that would be stupid cuz cops would be on the look out for a stolen truck..
rental! Maybe the company will have a great memory as to "who" rented it!
I hope they get fingerprints!

OHHHHH only a ka-gillion people have been in and out of this van during it's rental history...no good prints and remember...the perp can only be caught IF their prints are on file...

Unless they have some particular reason to be suspicious of that truck, finding a shell casing in a rental truck is almost meaningless.
