Sniper rumors abound

Oct. 17 - The D.C. sniper clearly has people on edge. Wednesday night, a routine traffic stop near the Henrico-Hanover county line spawned lots of speculation.

And an e-mail that circulated in the area Wednesday had everybody looking at Virginia Center Commons. That email said there had been a specific threat of a sniper attack there. Police say they had "no evidence" of such a threat and they are trying to track down who started the apparent e-mail hoax.
