Thank you for that article. I seriously doubt that the Feds are aware of such things. The locals, however, are. This is exactly why the Feds taking over will fail to "get" what they need.
In the "power play" they are most likely to overlord the locals and "hear" almost nothing. Unless you have llived on the federal level for awhile you cannot understand how poorly things are handled by comparison.
Just compare "Moose" who is accustomed to fed operation to the Hanover Co people you heard last night. The State people in that area had already prepared (BEFORE the second or third shooting) and already had plan in place to shut down the area, etc.etc. The Feds and task force were not even there before they had everything working. It was better handled than anything in my inside the beltway stuff has been handled on the shootings here.
People who think the fed does everything best are deceived and vociferous. They are less interested in upholding the Constitution and more interested in forwarding the Socialist concept because of this mind-set. We have ahost of them here. They call themselves conservatives but that does not mean that they are with regard to federalization or socialization of all things.
Thank heaven for former Gov. Allen's strong opinions this AM on all this. No you cannot afford to put this into the hands of the Feds entirely, whether you call this HOmeland Security (which is an absurd concept to begin with) or SS.

You're welcome!
Here's another interesting article that has a little more information about Al Fuqra, or the Red House Virginia muslims. At the end of the article it states the reason Al Fuqra is linked to Al Qaeda--by their connection to one of the AQ who had a role in the African embassy bombings.
A Junior al Qaeda . . . . . . Right here at home: Meet al Fuqra.
"There are a lot of Baptist churches along rural Virginia's Route 615, just south of Appomattox-"where America reunited," as the county welcome sign puts it-but there's only one Sheikh Gilani Lane. [Gilani was arrested in connection with Daniel Pearl's death.]...
"...a violent group of black Muslims whose members have been implicated in at least 17 bombings and 12 murders over the past twenty years...
"Al Fuqra which means "the impoverished" in Arabic was founded in 1980 when Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani traveled from Pakistan to an African-American mosque in Brooklyn. On this and subsequent trips, the charismatic sheikh helped create al Fuqra, which is said to have between 1,000 and 3,000 members nationwide. It is not aligned with a more prominent and homegrown black Muslim group, the Nation of Islam, and in fact it has serious theological differences with Louis Farrakhan's flock. And it may pose a much greater threat to civil society..."

Wish I could be "so sure" of everything in regard to the Feds and Moose..I reference "the arm chair generals" that post a "know all..I know more than they do" approach. Lets face it ,this discussion is to ease the frustrations of many and sound off..as for the grand scheme of solving these Terrorists acts will do nothing more than frustrate the next reader. ;) (I wonder how many murders and violent acts were committed in the US today to all races by all races..how many victims of other crimes were there today). "A tree fell in the forest and you did not hear.."you didn't want to hear til now.
