Snow just bitch slapped tiny-Tommy by turning his idiotic quote about our international standing on it's head. Snow cited that every major foreign Bush has established, Dasshole has voted for. What a leader!

ALL I WANT YOU PEOPLE TO DO TODAY...

...is to watch what Condi Rice says when asked about Harry Belafonte. I'm not sure that Powell was asked anything, but I do want to hear Rice's response.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

Don't you have a TV? Not being sarcastic - I really want to know. Or are you unable to be near your TV today?

Frankly, I agree with those Senators who don't want to "debate" on Meet the Press. These are not national elections. Why do we need national attention on these races? Answer: A left wing media agenda that is trying to ensure continued Dem control over the Senate and higher ratings, i.e., good television.

Russert, for all his pretenses about being objective, sets the framework and format for the debates, which reflect his left of center view of the world. Social security, perscrption drugs, election reform, abortion, gun control, education, etc. are always among the issues. Usually, this gives the Dem opponent the opportunity to paint the Reps as uncaring, insensitive, right wing gun nuts who are against women, minorities, and old people--not to mention children.

Russert and his media bosses realize the import of the mid terms on who controls the Senate (note there are no debates among candidates from the House.) He is trying to influence the outcomes using the guise of debates, which are just expanded sound bites.

He (Powell) also said he could PRODUCE a 2-page list of all people that had been briefed. At that point, Russert ended the interview with no comment. Hehehehehe...

Hehehehehe. For sure!!!

I think it's smart thinking for Mrs. Dole to keep her state debates local and not hit the national media circuit. The media will try to trip her up, make her look mean spirited, and do their usual ax job on any conservative candidate, and who needs the unfavorable face time at the end of a state's election campaign just a week or so from the vote?

You may be onto something. It does make sense for the leader to limit her exposure.

These dems who are trailing though, are just outright cowards, they have everything to gain.

I love seeing the lies of the RATS exposed. Powell was not about to let this one stand. It made me happy to see him come out strongly on this. Russert is such a lap-dog for the RATS - it's disgusting.

Any bets on when Tim Russert first mentions repealing that evil Bush Tax Cut?

Timmy’s use of "Let's look at the tape" is getting old.

Today he brought out one of Bubba back in 1993 saying “North Korea must not have Nuclear weapons" and asking Powell to comment on it.

Today he brought out one of Bubba back in 1993 saying “North Korea must not have Nuclear weapons" and asking Powell to comment on it.

"If I was Powell, my response would have been:
I remember that Tim, it was the reason that Carter got the Nobel prize. In order to appease NK, they gave them billions in aid, food and 2 new nuclear reactors. As a result of that policy, we now have NK with nuclear weapons. Their 'peace' program resulted in Billions of taxpayers dollars squandered and a nulear North Korea."

Speaking for myself again: I heard one of the Carter hacks on NPR yesterday, I think it was Hodding Carter.

They asked him about Jimmy's failed program.

He said, "Carter's program was a success, they did stop the nuclear weapon program that was in existance at that time. These weapons are the result of a 'new' program." (paraphrased a bit)

FNS: Tommy, still whining about those Republican Senators who kept the Homeland Security bill being passed.

When will he realize that he is the Senate Majority leader, and show some leadership and stop whining?

Probably never. Time to make him Minority Leader instead.

I watched Powell answer that question after I read your reply. And you understated the way Colin Powell refuted the democrat's false allegation that they were kept in the dark about North Korea nukes. Powell was visibly angry, he said outright, "it is not true", then he went on to offer Russert a list of the congress critters who had been briefed.

How I hope this piece of crap show goes down the tubes. BTW, glad to hear DISNEY'S stock is tanking.

He didn't bring it up (unless I missed it), could it be some one has told him that it isn't selling with the public?

George Will on ABC is basically having his way with the useless idiots pimping ballistic fingerprinting. He's a more patient man than I, I'd have flat out told both women to shut the hell up they didn't have a clue.

Powell on ABC with Georgie S. Powell makes it clear it is North Korea who is nullifying the Clinton agreement from back in 94, not the US. Powell reminds Georgie this really is a multi-national issue.

Powell says North Korea has embargoed itself, no one wants to trade with them, but we are not yet talking about an official embargo on food.

Stored plutonium which could be turned into 2 or 3 nukes..it's being watched, we have to assume NK neighbors will have a stake in making sure it stays under their scrutiny, and isn't misused.

Powell says we have to assume NK has one or two nukes, made earlier. (during Clinton years, goes without saying).

I wish they would put that picture of Madeleine Albright drinking champagne with Kim L Song, chirping to the world how North Korea will abide by agreements. An expert on C-Span said this morning, as that photo was being shown that Albright was drinking champagne and singing along with little north Korean children at the same time.....and she didn't know it was an anti-American song the children were singing.

Powell tells Georgie Pakistan's Mushareff has assured him Pakistan has not given NK nukes. Powell says he takes him at his word, but he refuses to discuss whether or not they have done so in the past. Same thing he said on MTP.

Powell calls Congressman Chaka Fatah's accusations that the White HOuse has kept congress in the dark about North Korea, "ridiculous". Powell is really ticked off that democrats have tried to make this a partisan attack on his administration. If powell would always be this firm in his criticism of democrats, I might grow fonder of him.

The fact that Colin Powell is making the talk show rounds today shows how important the North Korea issue is, and/or how anxious he is to keep it out of partisan politics.
