Democratic Party officials have decided to rush additional staff and resources to Florida to bolster the campaign of gubernatorial candidate Bill McBride after an on-the-ground assessment found the challenger's get-out-the-vote operation badly in need of assistance.
...Democratic National Committee Chairman Terence McAuliffe has authorized at least another half million dollars in direct assistance to the Florida campaign. DNC officials have asked Nick Baldick, who ran Florida for Al Gore during the 2000 presidential campaign, to return to the state for the duration to help put the operation into shape...
A senior Democratic Party official said the party plans to mount "a presidential level" voter mobilization program between now and Nov. 5
Another strategist said, "
I think we can fix this."

McBribe = loser
Jeb = winner
GO JEB!!
I had a strange encounter of a Democratic kind today, in a restaurant in Liberty City.
I ran into a "get out the vote" worker, passing out a handout designed to "inform" people on how to vote this coming tuesday.
I grabbed the handout.
Here it is:
....
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
I don't see any information as to who paid for these handouts posted, I thought that had to be there.
McBride attacked Bush and attacked well. Rambling, but some of his points will stick in people's mind. Like, citing all the current problems and asking why Bush didn't fix them. McBride did that several times, plus... remember, it's always easy to go after the incumbant. Talking heads say this is the year incumbant governors will be thrown out of office because of the economic slowdow that has affected many state governments.
And McBride was absolutely charming when Tim asked about the PResident coming down to support Gov. Bush. McBride was said if he had a brother running for office, he would support him too, and McBride was very respectful of President Bush. McBride's military record is an important plus.
McBride is obviously unqualified, uninformed, and naive. He has no solutions, and he seems to know it's a fluke that he's even in the race, in over his head. He did remind me of Perot's running mate..the "why am I here" guy. But all that said,
If republicans in Florida stay home, I fear Bush could lose this thing.
