[history]
LIZZIE GRUBMAN sat in my home two hours. Didn't eat, didn't drink, didn't smoke. She mostly cried.
And repeated over and over: "I'm scared. I'm so scared."
And: "I'm stupid. I'm so stupid."
Wiping red, swollen eyes, she said: "My freedom's being taken from me. I'm property of the criminal-justice system. I know it's fear of the unknown, but I'm really scared.

"Okay Lizzie, we've got Cindy Adams. Remember the drill: You're a 'little person' (not really, you understand, just for pretend)".
"You're contrite. Alone".
"You've got to mention God somehow, children. Go for the pet lovers but don't go overboard. Make it seem like it's gonna be a Linda Blair movie..."
------------------
Over-the-top melodrama on the way to the crossbar motel.
Yes, the first person I'd call is Cindy Adams...

How pathetic, wimpering little troll.

Lizzie Grubman took her car
Hit ten kids outside a bar
When she saw what she had done
Hit six more, just for fun
To: IncPen
Gee, Lizzie - would you like some cheese with that whine?
What a putz!

Pathetic. Absolutely Pathetic.

...I shopped for underwear at Kmart...
Oh, the horror of it all!
I hope, someday, I'll also be spiritual.
This is the only statement that startled me. Even her conniving, manipulative lawyers couldn't have coached her into admitting such a pathetic lack of spirituality. (Of course, they could have told their client to "find her spirituality" after a few weeks in prison. Yeah, that's the ticket.)

She got a freaking sweetheart deal. She is going to get soft glove treatment, and Ms. Adams wants us to pity her? Please!!!! After her few months in jail, daddy will have a new SUV for her to tool around in while she goes back to clubbing, insulting the "white trash" who are unfortunate enough to be in her wake.

Crossbar motel, good one. This is probably the first jolt of reality this poor little rich girl has ever had in her life.
To: IncPen
Anyone know what jail/prison she is going to and for how long?

You're permitted a five-piece makeup set, but I don't use any. Don't worry about it, Lizzie. Within 48 hours of your arrival, a paper bag will become a mandatory part of your prison attire. For those times when you'll be interacting with other prisoners or guards, two bags will be required.

Too funny. I hope Lizzie's victims take her and her rich lawyer Daddy to the cleaners! (Hey, it was, after all, her Old Man's car that was used as a weapon.)

I'm scared there are people that really care about this crap.

Well, not much sympathy so far on this thread. . .
. . .am not sympathetic but do think Lizzie is sorry and that she is suffering and she does seem to accept that her suffering is well deserved. . .and would not disagree her.
Would not want to be in her shoes now; and for sure, not behind her car that day either.

Thank goodness. I thought you were gonna say breaking a nail really is a crisis ;)

No reference to her uncle who was making $20MM per year giving bogus investment advice to investors who lost collectively $ billions trusting that advice and believing the crooks "leading" Worldcom. Jack Grubman "retired early" from Solomon Smith Barney taking a $20MM "package" for his good work and going quietly.
I hope and trust, Lizzy, that Uncle Jack will be following in your footsteps. The criminal streak seems to run in your family. I just hope that the $ millions Uncle Jack "earned" are forfeited along the way and he gets to share, in some small way, the fruits of his crimes which have so devastated so many investors who have been crushed by his lying and swindling (in concert with SSB and WCOM management). Please pardon the venom.
To: Senator Pardek
Well, I myself was shocked to see your use of the words "split ends" relating to somebody going to prison.
I'm also enthralled with the idea that she's wondering if she's getting a single or a double.
