There is almost certainly a pattern in the Washington-area sniper shootings. Finding it is the devilish detail.

I think you are assuming too much. I think all of the "profilers" have been sidelined due to the wide range of witness reports. This person or persons is a new breed of cat and past profiles just don't seem to make sense. Your scenario is one that made me take notice, and I would hope that the LEOs would be looking at it also.

Well the fact is that the majority of serial killers are young white males but this is not a scenario that serial killers engage in except for the Son of Sam guy. I am leaning towards the terrorist angle but I don't really fault the cops for working with the "angry white male" profile in the beginning but I don't hear much of that lately.
