I appreciate your analysis, but I think that Occum's RAzor applies here.

Apparently colleages in France identified this person though a composite (also not released). If they share the writing with the French/public they could at least ELIMINATE the French Connection.

I am sorry, but LE has blown this. When this case first started, I thought it was SWM (usual profile in these cases), UNTIL the internaional bombings, Al Quada messages and crime descriptions started coming in.....

Yes we are having trouble seeing this guy, no doubt. But it's partly because everyone is staying inside where it's safe or minding their own narrow business. If, IF people deliberately came outside with binoculars and a cell phone and looked deep into the hidey holes, places where no one usually looks, shadowy places, somebody just might see something.

Knock it off. Your comments about 'bubba 2' are well known by most on this forum and seem to be inapproriate to the topic of this thread.

I am begining to wonder if this guy LIVES or Resides in DC. Other than the one shooting which was on the border, none have taken place in DC.

Having the police train the militia would help prevent the scary scenarios that everyone assumes would happen when regular civilians carry firearms. Hence the Well Regulated in the 2nd amendment!! They have had three weeks to do this!

<>I hope that America can survive the Mooses all over America who are PC Police Chiefs with affirmative acion, Political Correctness and Diversity goals as their key goals instead of good police work to protect their communities from criminals.

Here are the requirements for his PhD. I was surprised to see that Ebonics 101 was not part of the curriculum.

Core Requirements (17 credits)

USP 513/613 Urban Economic and Spatial Structure (3): The purpose of this course is to provide an introduction to the economic and spatial aspects relevant to the field of urban studies. The course provides and overview of existing theories and empirical evidence relating to urban spatial and economic relationships. Examines the impact of federal, state, and local government policies, and changing economic conditions on these relationships

USP 514/614 History and Theory of Urban Studies (3): Leading thinkers and milestones in the analysis of urban development and urban life. Complementary theories and models of social sciences. Postmodern approaches. Visionary and critical responses to the possibilities of metropolitan life

USP 517/617 Sociology and Politics of Urban Life (3): A survey of important theories and empirical research about the social structure and political dynamics of urban areas. The impacts of globalization on urban social and political life, the changing nature of community and social relations within cities and suburbs, and evolving patterns of intergovernmental cooperation and conflict within metropolitan regions will be analyzed.

USP 530 Research Design (4): Principles of research design, including philosophical bases of scientific research, approaches to research, problem identification, problem statement, development of research questions, development of research hypotheses, and the relationship of research hypotheses to modes of data gathering and analysis. The laboratory (530L) must be taken concurrently. Prerequisite: USP 430.

USP 597/697 Urban Studies Seminar (4): Research seminar required for second-year students in the urban studies Ph.D. and M.U.S. programs. Students apply their substantive background and methodological training to develop all the components of a social science research paper: statement of focused research question, literature review, development of hypotheses, definition of appropriate methodology, design of data acquisition, and pilot testing of data acquisition strategy. Prerequisites: USP 530, USP 513/613, USP 514/614, USP 517/617.

The first three courses listed introduce the student to the basic ideas, concepts, and theories about urban development and urban life. This helps students position their own interests within the larger field of urban studies. The Research Design course introduces the student to the range of methods appropriate to the field and serves as a starting point from which the M.U.S. and Ph.D. student is expected to take advanced courses in quantitative and qualitative methods. The Urban Studies Seminar, typically taken in the beginning of the second year, engages the student in hands-on social science research, producing a research design proposal appropriate for the student's interests and degree.

Field Area Requirements

Each student offers two fields of specialization, at least one of which should be chosen from among those listed above. A student-nominated field, developed in conjunction with School faculty, may be offered as a second specialization. Faculty groups specify field-specific course requirements, including methodology courses and courses essential to a multidisciplinary approach. These groups work closely with students to develop coherent specializations that prepare each individual to do Ph.D.-level research in that field. Click on the following links to see a more detailed description of each field:

· Planning
· Community Development
· Policy Analysis
· Gerontology
· Social Demography

You can judge for yourself just how rigorous this program is.

Obviously this is not going to happen. But short of an incredibly lucky break, is there ANY other way this guy CAN be caught?

I've said from the start that citizen involvement will be the only thing that can stop this guy. But I don't suspect you'll ever hear the authorities admit that they can't do it themselves. They don't have it in them to make such an admission, even if it would help.

The dark shadowy places are where the police ought to stake out. They should be patrolling also.

At least the Police need to release the photo of the French soldier who is missing to see if anyone in the area has seen him. Why have they not done this yet?????

You are welcome! That link summarizes my anti PC Police Chiefs anywhere feelings.

Jake Reno was personally for PC Moose!

Does that tell you anything?

While Jake was busy deballing the FBI and Justice dept. and staffing them with laced pink panty wearing Political Correctness Queens, she worked with major cities to insure that the same type of Political People became their police chiefs.

It could take us 10 years to recover from the damage that Jake and her Master, the Clintoon, did to our nation's law enforcement by getting Politically Correct Police Chiefs into major metro areas.

Many of the once, excellent state police departments have suffered from the same fatal virus, pcism.

How about a guy who works for Washington Gas?

How about a a woman? Has anyone tackled this angle yet? The thing that bothers me the most is that he/she keeps slipping though dragnet after dragnet. They have widened the search area after each attack. I think its extremely likely that he/she has been stopped several times at roadblocks. I would bet at this juncture a woman could get through a road block more easily then say a male police officer. What do you guys think?

Woman's lib.

Boy, after this press conference, I actually feel sorry for Chief Moose. He's really in a bind as to what he can say. Both because of the sniper and because of the other agencies involved.

I don't understand the people here who believe Moose is actually running the show. From all I've read, he isn't, and it hardly seems at all likely that he would be. He has mostly (for whatever reason) been kept on as the chosen spokesman.

It's tied to their lunar calendar. Not surprising, since Allah, the principal deity of the pre-Islamic pagan religion of Arabs in Mecca, was a moon god.

IF it were the missing French soldier I'd presume that he had enough training to use disguise and concealment far better than most bad guys and better than you or I could see through.

I'd expect the police and agencies are going through less well known channels to see if he has been heard from.

How eerie to consider that the guy MIGHT be someone we'd recently supported in "former Yugoslavia".
