I don't understand the people here who believe Moose is actually running the show. From all I've read, he isn't, and it hardly seems at all likely that he would be. He has mostly (for whatever reason) been kept on as the chosen spokesman.

Neither do I. He is obviously just a mouthpiece for the Feds. Everyone knows or should know the Feds are running this investigation. Chief Moose.. lol Gimme a break.

They are probably worried about more injuries/deaths as a result of itchy trigger fingers. I live in a very mountainous area and every year there is a least one hunting death. The majority of the time the people involved are experienced in the use of firearms. If this happens in an extremely remote, isolated area, I can only imagine what would happen in an urban, well populated area.

I would compare it to drivers who, when discussing driving on ice or snow, most often judge themselves to be competent and blame all the wrecks/danger on the OTHER drivers, no?

Could be. It's just not the sort of thing one considers. But it could be -- in which case, they'd probably never catch her. I can't even begin to think of a likely profile for such a person other than "psychotic libertarian chick."

I feel sorry for Moose as well. IMO, this is not about his political affiliations or race. Chief Moose is not the enemy here, the terrorist sniper is the enemy. The Chief looks exhausted and terribly sad.

This is why so many of them get PHDs. Then they can become a professor and get tenured to teach this Bravo Sierra. Or they go to work for some govermental agency as an expert of Political Correctness and Diversity training.

When PC Moose retires from being a Police Chief, he will go to some PC university to teach his PC/Diversity Agenda knowledge to the next generation of PC/Diversity maggots! That way the cycle continues.

Alot of "unaccounted for Missing individual possibles"..in Portland ,Oregon they never did find 2 from the group arrested for terrorist connections in the Portland cell..it was noted they possibly could be out of this country..just another face to the ever growing list.Plus the shootings in DC began the day "after" those in Portland were indicted.All possibilities..but no brass ring.

It makes no difference on this if Moose IS a moose or a Mensa.Not only are crimes not solved by police chiefs,but this case won't be solved until the killer makes mistakes, or something unforseen happens. Something as simple as a flat time on his getaway car that keeps him from getting away. The police have NONE of the normal clues they use to solve homicides. There is no known motive linking the killer to his victims,and no personal connection,either.

I have to think we're getting close to the endgame, if not already in it. The shooter can't seem to stop for any length of time. He's doing something that's inherently risky, and seems to be taking more risks, ie, the Richmond shooting in an areas he's presumably not as familiar with, and now going into DC proper where a quick getaway is, I assume, more difficult. Eventually one of those unforeseen occurrences you speak of WILL happen.

Of course I've been saying this for the better part of a week and it hasn't happened yet. Hopefully soon.

How can you put fear in this guy's mind? What does he have to fear? He kills innocent people, he isn't even shooting at gas stations any more...no one knows what his next target will be part of his fun...it was early dawn today, from the woods near a cemetary and got a bus driver, who would have predicted that?

"Fox News was reporting this morning that the ramson note from the Ashland shooting had a threat regarding school children, which is why schools were shut down again today."

During the press conference that just went the question was being asked as to weather or not LE did in fact receive information that schools may be targeted by this sniper. In fact, the question was asked several times by the media.

The Moose was giving the standard response the "It would be inapposite for me to comment on that at this time," but his body language was not very convincing to me.

If LE does have any kind of information that schools may be being specifically targeted, and they are not releasing that to the public, that is unconscionable. And if it is found out at a later time that they did have that kind of information, but did not release it, and some children come up dead, I think that the people running this show should be charged with criminal negligence.

I sent the following E-mail to Fox News during the news conference.

Subject: Parade of Experts on Sniper Shootings

In regards to the long line of experts that have been recently appearing on Fox to give their opinions about the sniper shootings, i.e. profilers, psychologist, law enforcement, etc, would it be possible to get an expert that could render some kind of an opinion about Chief Moose’s body language during these press conferences?

I am noting that during the current conference that is now on, the question has been asked several times as to weather or not law enforcement has received information that schools may have been specifically targeted. The chief seems to say that they have no information to indicate that, but I would be interested in knowing if his body language indicates that he is not completely telling the truth.

I've been here since 98,and I've hit it maybe 3 or 4 times. None of these times was it due to a personal attack on me.
