it could be that the broken english is just a manifest of a broken logic Hmm interesting. You could be right. We see it all the time on this forum with libs in conservative clothing.
To: WestCoastGal
That should say "have they released a transcript anywhere?" Cuz I sure would like to read it.
To: Boiler Plate
Wow! I would never have made that connection. Reckon they'll ever release the note to the public?

We will never see the note, period.

Only if you promise to be surprised when it does.

"All it is now is how much money he can get."
. . .well, like I said it may be my paranoia at how little info we are getting, that makes this thing get bigger in my mind. . .rather than smaller.
If 'small' is the reality, then they should be sharing the contents of the communications, the 'voice' of the writer. . . and any other info they might have that would help the public to identify this person.
. . .in the meantime, and however; seems they are abiding by 'sniper rules'. . .

Actually it's the French-Yugoslavia-Bosnia-Muslim connection. Moose is offering up the ransom angle to put the Al Qaeda speculation to rest, IMHO.

This morning it was reported that those being released would be sent to their home countries if they would take them!! If not, they would just be released??????????? My question is where would THAT be???????
To: dalereed
That's a damn nasty image but worth saving for some use later.

"Not me. Death is too easy. I want the sniper to spend the rest of his life in jail. How many consecutive life terms do you think he'll get? "
not me, i think he doesnt deserve my taxxes paying for his butt in our prisons. i say, lets strip him of everything, then lock him in a basement, where his only visitors can be the loved ones of those he shot.
To: MacDorcha
Hmmm. I have no desire to punish, just a desire to get him off the face of the earth. Snipe him right back, that's fine with me. The suffering he will go through *after* departing this world will be plenty!
To: Terriergal
either way, hes scum
To: MacDorcha
Agreed.
To: WestCoastGal
My question is where would THAT be??????? Takoma Park, MD would be delighted I'm sure. It would go hand in hand with their Nuclear Free Zone policy.
To: Terriergal
I think we need to make the assumption not releasing the note is in the best interest of the investigation--otherwise the Feds would take it over.
Why would that be though, it seems inane....they must know who it is already
To: MacDorcha
Set a bunch of eager (if linguists are ever eager) linguistics students on this! There are psych-lings and archeo-lings and all kinds of linguists just dying to once, one time, be actually useful to their fellow man.
How an adult learns a foreign language is to relate it as closely to his own language as possible. Errors can be telling.
If the odd English is a symptom of psychosis, some linguists can pick up on that, too.
I'm afraid they'll just call one PhD and leave it at that. They needs lots of students to ponder this letter.

im not so sure about that. its a valid point, yes, but what about the apparent ego problems the fbi, cia, and most cops have against each other. they may NOT yet know, and just dont want anyone figuring it out before they do. they could be that demented. if they release the info they have, they may not be assured the winning catch.
To: Scarlet_Pimpernil
Yeah I had made that assumption... but I still wanna know as soon as it becomes available.
What's with the "duck in a noose" thing?
