Nah, he wasn't no terrorist even though the whole Washington DC area was gripped in terror for 3 weeks. Nope, they weren't afraid of no terrorists. Everybody knew all along he was just a nut with a sharp gun.

There are all kinds of terrorists. Perhaps by labeling Al Queada terrorist only as terrorists is misleading. There are Al Queada terrorists sure, but there are also racial terrorists, nutty terrorists, political terrorists, and religious terrorists. Whoever causes terror in the hearts of the people are terrorists no matter what people may call them.

I am not sure when you first posted the story but, for the record, I posted the following at 12:10am on the morning of the 24th - 17 minutes before this thread began and about five minutes after Moose said the words;)

What Sniper Cell?????? This is a man who at some point lost it...he is crazed. He is alone. Sniper Cell???? Anything but...

This guy had at least one 17 year old with him. He was not alone.
Who is the "duck in a noose" message to? His buddy in the car?
Where did he get the money for the trip to the east coast, the car, the gun, food and water and surviving 3 weeks in the car( or maybe hotels )
I'm not saying he was part of a cell...I just want answers to these questions and your lone nut theory doesn't cover them.

Once-Ler, you said "One more question. How much money did lone nuts Oswald, Bundy, Dahmer, or Whitman ask for?"

Answer: I don't think Oswald, Bundy, Dahmer, or Whitman asked for money but one thing I'm pretty sure of. If they had, they were smart enought to know not to ask to have it deposited into a stolen credit card account.

I don't understand your response.
He demanded 10 million in a card that is functional worldwide.
There are millions of ATMs with little or no security all over America
With the number and expiration date anyone can retreive the money in any country with a bank.
Abu Nidal could walk over to the bank of Egypt and take out the money himself.
How intensive an investigate would be launched when the card was used in Syria?
Pressumably if the card didn't work as specified the sniper would shoot more people until we got it right.
If thats not smart then please tell me a better way to transfer 10 million?
Cash?

My Answer: You're kidding aren't you? What don't you understand? You can't be serious. The credit card was a STOLEN credit card! It was stolen from a person in Alabama. The police checked it out, and they wouldn't have deposited $10M in the sniper's account even if wasn't stolen.

I ask for clarification and you have given none.
I was asking what is wrong/foolish/stupid about demanding 10 million on a stolen card.

I said: "If thats not smart then please tell me a better way to transfer 10 million?"

I asked this because you implied that it was poor thinking to want the money deposited in a CC account.

You said: What? are you stupid? you kidding? The card was stolen. The very idea. hrrumph hrumph and they wouldn't do it anyway.

WE ARE ALL quite aware the card was stolen. Your point is what?

CC are reported stolen every day.
Sometime cards are reported lost.
The CC company cancels the account.
Sometimes the reportedly lost cards are relocated.
Does the CC company send out new cards everytime a card is cancelled or can they reactivate the account?
Are you saying the a card once reported stolen can never be used again?
Are you saying it can't be done?
Are you saying that only a lone nut would think it could be done?
Are you saying only a nut would think the government would trade money for promised good behavor? Like Clinton did for Korea? Or Reagan did for Iran?

I have no clue what your response means except you think that I am stupid.
Strike one try again.

Ok Oncer-Ler, I'll answer you just one more time.

I don't think you're stupid, and I never said that.
In answer to your "Choice of Questions" I choose the last 2, shown below as numbers 1) and 2):

1) Are you saying that only a lone nut would think it could be done? Yes, and other crazy nutty people from/in some other crazy nutty country might think so too.

2) Are you saying only a nut would think the government would trade money for promised good behavor? Yes, and other crazy nutty people from/in other crazy nutty countries might think so too.

Our government does not deal with murderers and give them money to stop killing people inside the U.S.A. on American soil. A lone gunman or other nutty people from some other nutty country might think they could get paid with cash deposited into a stolen credit card account to stop killing Americans, but they aren't familiar with our American way of justice and the "long arm of the law".

2b) Like Clinton did for Korea? Or Reagan did for Iran?

I understand where you're going with this, but you're talking about apples and oranges now. Murderer(s) killing people inside the U.S. on American soil is something entirely different than dealing with crazy foreigners in nutty countries.

I'm not going to discuss foreign politics and policies with you because your and my way of thinking is so far apart it could never be reconciled.
