the first time I ever shot a sks I was shooting 150 at clay pegions. I hit every one. The sks are nice durable rifles every should at least own two. I remember when you could by them for 79 bucks. Dam

This guy is no sniper hes a coward that hides in a trunk of a car and shoots women and old people in the back and the head. Unarmed women and old people I might ad.

Have you ever seen the ground move from the report of an AR's gas discharge? It is rather "traumatic" to the leaves and surrounding debris on the ground. It is my opinion, that unless the flash supressor was at least 6 inches inside the trunk, you would get a loud report.

If the barrel was sticking out an inch or so, you would get total sound.

I picked a great day to wear my Bushmaster shirt to work.

flash hiders are illegal under the 94 ban, but brakes and compensators are still legal.

Nothing political or judgemental in my question--What does one do with an AK-47 with magazine?

They were known to shoot at a place where Al Qaeda contacts in the US trained. At least that was the impression I got from yesterday's reports. Does that mean that they were definately in contact? No. But it is a possibility. If these two were sympathetic to the 09/11 events, it would be a natural for them to gravitate to such groups. I'm just not willing to pass it off lightly.

I personally think this AlQaeda stuff is over blown, as far as the number of connected cells, etc. What I believe is that no matter what you call them, they are self appointed defenders of Islam. (they feel the religion is now under attack)

As to Alqaeda, the total number who trained in the camps, number in the low 10,000 range and most of them are still in the ME. In the U.S. we have a large number of Muslim insurgents who are like minded but not members of AQ.

To me, it does not matter much. They could be members of anything and still be very dangerous.

BTW! The primary connecting link is Islam! Not really AQ. It is really not the roses name that is important here.

John Cornyn, candidate for Senate from Texas, came out in opposition to renewing the ban when asked specifically about it in a debate Wednesday night!

A first for him.

I think your comments have merit. Whether we term these groups Al Qaeda or not, I do believe they are not favorable to the US, and would do it harm. Even these two numbskulls bear that out. Now, did they connect with middle-easterners? I think the jury is still out, despite the releases by law enforcement entities.

The authorities will wait a couple of days to see if there are any more shootings. If not, they can be confident they've finally captured the people responsible for setting the D.C area on edge.

I think they have them. I'm not confident there are more involved. I do want that explored. Even if there are no more shootings right now, I want to make sure we don't let leads go cold just because we "don't want to go there" so to speak. I know that sounds far fetched, but I think that's exactly what happened at OKC.

Are we ever going to get a reasonable story about the white trucks/vans?

What is up with this? It smells. Any possible links to AQ will be covered up.

More likely they are looking at AQ sites in the region and need cover. No need to announce that you are setting up (possibly illegal) wiretaps.

The scope is NOT on backwards. Look again.

The eyepiece is larger than the 20mm objective
of the 1.5-5x20mm scope.
