Calm down peopleThis ruling is because the kids are registered to vote at their home, and can't vote where they go to school.

Bu t they can change where they are registered. The new registration simply replaces the old.

No, this little ploy has been done on military installations too. Many times people have been denied the right to vote because they were military and dependants. Even though they were also taxpayers of the states where they were stationed. This is along the same line I believe.

the kids are registered to vote at their home, and can't vote where they go to school Ah. I wondered if that was it. I always had to vote absentee when I was in college, for the same reason.

This ruling is because the kids are registered to vote at their home, and can't vote where they go to school. I agree. All of the "outrage" is just partisan spin to somehow defend illegal registration of voters. Calm down and listen to the reasoning. It appears to be sound judgement. It's the law.
Students who have legal residence in another state cannot vote where they go to college.

Exactly! I voted by absentee ballot during my college years.

This ruling is because the kids are registered to vote at their home, and can't vote where they go to school. That was my guess too. Maybe they didn't apply for absentee ballots. Shame on them if that is the case, or on the rest of us of us for not reminding them.

That's what I thought, too. Moreover, if the students are out of state, they can cast their ballots by mail.
Let's stick to battles where truth is on out side, not the battles that we simply can or wish to win.
People, listen to DCBryan1's advice: calm down and stand on principle and law.

But so what? The government found out that many people were registered in NY and at their vacation homes in, you guessed it, Florida! They vote twice and feel they are of course, more than entitled to do so!

Vote absentee! I would ban all campuses from being able to vote period! All those kids can vote at home!!!

If they are living where they are at school, they can re-register as they did and vote where they live currently.
I don't see that as illegal, just their choice.
I can think of more reasons for them NOT to vote home where they don't live now.

"Calm down people This ruling is because the kids are registered to vote at their home, and can't vote where they go to school."When I read the article, the thought occurred to me that these kids need to go HOME to vote.

Seems like the kids should have been told how to get an absentee ballot?? Hmmmm?
But ... we all know - if it were democrat children - it wouldn't be fair to keep them from voting!!
