I'm not a spiritual man, and I'm not "gung-ho" about fighting Iraq, but why does this nattering dunderpate's opinion mean anything? When will we hear Barry Bonds talk about the capital gains tax?
Does anyone think that the average pro baseball player is not more intelligent than the average hollyweirdo?
To: Senator Pardek
These folks think play acting is real. And real life is play acting.
To: Senator Pardek
When will we hear Barry Bonds talk about the capital gains tax? He won't. He'll tell you to get out of his face.
To: Senator Pardek
I do not like fundamentalism of any kind. This from a high priest of fundamental stupidity

He's talking about morals.
He has an open marriage.
How can someone with an *open relationship* talk about morals?
To: Senator Pardek
Radical fundamentalism at its core hates all the things I love: art, free expression, music, independent women, theater, good movies. If he likes good movies, why did he make "Bob Roberts"?
To: Senator Pardek
Gee, he's a 12 year-old mind stuck in an adult body. Still lives with his mother, though.

Methinks he is a fundamentalist too. If he had his way, he would be the first to inflict his version of morality onto the rest of us infidels.

I do not like fundamentalism of any kind. Hows about the liberal, secular, muticultural, religious fundamentalism of Hollywood? Hummmmmmmmm? just curious....fsf
To: Senator Pardek
. . . Any movement that connects violence with God loses me . . . Of course, the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice would be a significant exception to that rule.

He's talking about morals. He has an open marriage.
I go out of my way not to make rude comments on a woman's appearance (I'm old-fashioned in that regard), but he's married to a commie, sagging, bug-eyed freak - so I guess it was his idea.
To: I_Love_My_Husband
Open Marriage? Is that another cheap rationalization of immoral behavior?
To: Senator Pardek
"A few years ago I did a movie called Dead Man Walking. I think the reason that film led to a dialogue about the death penalty is that it didn't deligitimize the anger of the victims' families."So....'cause he "played" in a movie about Death Row, he's an *expert*! If I can apply a band-aid or recover from a cold without medical assistance does that make me a doctor?
"I do not like fundamentalism of any kind."
So....he's wishy-washy. Big deal!
"What is our fundamentalism? Cloaked in patriotism and our doctrine of spreading democracy throughout the world, our fundamentalism is business, the unfettered spread of our economic interests throughout the globe."
Cool! He admits he hates democracy and Capitalism! Way to go Timmy!
Somebody....please, please, dump this *guy* into a cave somewhere.
To: Thumper1960
It would also be nice if both he and the editor would use the word "delegitimize".
To: I_Love_My_Husband
I wonder if they've given each other exotic STD's that they've picked up from various flings on 'location'.
Imagination on.... "Oh, Tim," Susan gasped, her goldfish eyes blinking nervously. "I just got checked, and you gave me an awful dose of chlamydia again. Can't you use a condom once in a while?"
Tim shifted nervously in the sequined gown he wore to excite himself. "Oh, don't be so bourgeois, Susie. You're starting to sound like my mother. I didn't complain about you and Whoopi now, did I?"
The End---this is a fictional account of the Sarandon's private life. I am expressing my art.
To: Senator Pardek
What do you expect from a Red Diaper baby?? He and his mindset are preserved in aspic.
To: Senator Pardek
Sophomoric writing and ankle deep philosophy. Yup, Tim Robbins wrote this.

This is about business. The business of distracting American attention from Enron and Halliburton, the financial scandals that directly connect this Administration to the heart of what is now wrong with the American economy. These scandals have disappeared from the front pages of our newspapers as we argue about this war. Oh good grief.
