[history]
October 25, 2002 -- So there was no white van after all.
The search for the mystery vehicle started the moment the sniper fired the first deadly shot and began a reign of terror near D.C.
Eyewitnesses said the suspects fled in a white van or white box truck or trailer. The vehicle was reportedly spotted again at several subsequent shootings, and over the next three weeks police pulled over and searched hundreds of white vans in their manhunt for an elusive killer.

Next time you are at a busy intersection just look around and notice all the white vans and panel trucks. No surprise one was seen at the scene of these killings.

Don't I remember a report that said there was about 154,000 white vans registered in that area...
I would say that means everytime someone picked their nose or scratched their ass...
a white van was going by!!

You're absolutely right. I read that the police are not ruling out accomplices who may have provided the snipers with aid of some sort. A white van could still be relevant.

No white van.
No white man.
Hmmmm.... I was thinking that same thing. Nice rhyme, no? Subliminal communication . . .

One of San Diego's finest mentally ill homeless people explained to me one day that the phone company was tracking her movements. That morning when she woke up in the park, there was a phone company truck parked right at the curb, not 500 feet from her. She decided to get out of there quick, so she ran the 9 blocks to the Rescue Mission hoping to get away (and score some breakfast). Not one, not two, but three phone company trucks drove right down the street while she was on the way. Not only that, but when she arrived at the Rescue Mission, what was sitting in the parking lot but... a phone company truck! She wanted me to tell her how they could possibly know where she was going in advance, unless they were scanning her mind from inside those trucks. Yep, they were after her all right. |

Now
that's a great anecdote. The power of self-hypnosis.
I've noticed that everywhere I go, there I am. Kinda frightening...

Why this explains why people pick thier noses and scratch their asses. It's white vans.

This does validate Capt. Moose's concern about releasing witness statements for fear of tainting future witnesses. Every one got on the white van bandwagon (with ladder rack), and no one noticed the blue sedan.

"I read that the police are not ruling out accomplices who may have provided the snipers with aid of some sort." I've been thinking that the guy that was arrested for giving false info the to police after the FBI employee was shot might be an accomplice. He gave very specific information about a light colored van, an AK-74 rifle and he stressed the fact that the suspects were dark skinned but definitelt not African-American.

No white van, no angry white ex sniper wannabe redneck supremist 20 to 30 year old living in MD.
The media, exFBI pundits and all those talking heads just got it plain wrong, didn't they? Do I hear an apology to all us white folks out here? Sure makes me angry!
Talk about hate crimes!

What about all those poor guys we saw pulled out of their white vans , slammed to the ground and handcuffed?

It might be wise to wait for the investigation to continue for a few days more, before we reach any conclusions. Aaah, what's the harm? ;-)

"It might be wise to wait for the investigation to continue for a few days more, before we reach any conclusions."Especially in light of the fact that shortly after the suspects were taken into custody, the FBI released a threat warning to railways etc

I know what she means. Every time I go into a mall and stand by one of the maps, I see a marking that says 'You are here'. How do they know this unless they're watching me? Huh? Riddle me this, smart guy.
