No. Not all of the Chechnyans are supporting the terrorists, not even all of the Moslem Chechnyans. Many are simply cowed or brutalized into giving their unwilling support, and a wholesale liquidation of the population there or in the neighboring provinces is not yet called for.

What is required is an occupation force that will go in and do with rifles, grenades and bayonets that which is required to those who deserve such attention. And perhaps it's time for international volunteers to offer their services as *contract soldiers* for such efforts.

Better yet identify the hostage takers and start killing their families. You can start with their immediate family and go to the extended family as necessary. Short of nuking Mecca this is the only measure that Jihadist scum understand.

Not at all. Gassing them like vermin also seems to offer excellent results, though that too can be a bit hard on the hostages and bystanders, as is the use on nuclear weaponry.
