Did you see Chuck Yeager do a cameo spot in the movie "The Right Stuff"? He's in one of the bar scenes (on Edwards AFB), and asks for a drink (if I recall correctly). It's pretty funny. The other actors seem to be having a hard time keeping a straight face.

I believe he was the bartender. And, my memory could have holes in it as well, but it was a funny scene.

Yes--if I recall--he asks the two men:

"Do you boys wanna drink sum whiskey?"

They reply "Coke." Chuck himself used to be a hard drinker, but gave it up about 20 years ago.
