Anti-Muslim attacks increase in Australia

Sydney _ Islamic clerics have been spat on, mosques vandalised and Muslim girls have had their headscarves ripped off since bombings on the Indonesian island of Bali killed nearly 200 people, many of them Australians.

There have been more than 40 anti-Islamic attacks in Sydney alone since the Oct 12 blasts, New South Wales state police commissioner Ken Moroney said yesterday.

``It's offensive, and it illustrates an element of ignorance and arrogance on their [the attackers'] part,'' he added.

Mr Moroney said even more attacks likely were going unreported, particularly on Muslim women who feared retribution if they told authorities.

``These Muslim women need to come forward without fear of repercussions and talk to police so we can get a clear picture of what is going on,'' Mr Moroney said.

He did not give more details on the various anti-Islamic attacks. _ AP

I wonder if this guy said anything as harsh as this in reply to muslims gang-raping Australian girls. Or does he save his ire solely for the REAL CRIMINALS, people who yank off headscarves and spray some grafitti?

It appears that the Aussies are not as reticent to fight back and are not as patient and forgiving as are we. I do not understand our lack of apparent anger.

He's just doing his job. Battery and vandalism aren't as heinous as rape, but they're still criminal offences.

What's ignorant about putting two and two together and realizing that no matter how it's white-washed, Islam is a religion of hatred and violence. It seems that maybe some of these "ignorant" and intolerant attackers are getting it exactly right. For the rest of them, mouthing the PC line keeps them busy enough to be dangerous.

Now now! We ban Islam like they are doing piece by piece in England. Then we deport them or jail them that do not surrender.

The 112 Australians murdered in Bali approach the SAME MAGNITUDE, as the 3,000 Americans murdered on 11th Sep. 2001. (as a percent of population) The percent is greater for Israel, than either.

All by muslims, hellbent on spreading their terror, by cowardly acts of crimes against humanity.

That the Aussies are pissed isn't a surprise; that more Americans aren't MORE pissed is a disappointment.

Many of those same heads of state may fall victim to the terrorists, also.

If islam were worth anything at all, the heads of state of muslim majority nations, would be INSISTING on a world conference, to stem terrorism, via the "church."

That NO SUCH movement is being undertaken, tells all I need to know, about this so called religion, which is in reality a political movement, plain and simple.

``These Muslim women need to come forward without fear of repercussions and talk to police so we can get a clear picture of what is going on,'' Mr Moroney said.

And I promise that we will get to the bottom of this problem by assigning a special task force that will work on these crimes... for about two minutes.

Yeah. Like burning leaves or not curbing your dog.

Yeah, I know. Just get ticked when nobody makes a big deal about the rapists being Muslims perpetrating their crimes on Australians (Something which did have a bearing, as several times the rapists made it clear to the victims that they were getting raped because they were Australian), and some going so far as saying that the girls DESERVED it by not being more "sensitive" to muslim culture by not dressing so "provocatively" (Provocative being defined as wearing an outfit that doesn't cover your from head to toe). Yet here we see minor offenses and people are flipping out over it and the "damned racist Aussies". Maybe I'm over-exaggerating, but it just seems like when you have a viscious crime performed by a minority against a white person it's downplayed, while trivial stuff performed by white people against minorities is overblown. Oh well.

Britain to ban a further four Muslim groups28-10-2002

Press release by the Home Office:

DRAFT ORDER TO OUTLAW FOUR ADDITIONAL TERROR ORGANISATIONS PUBLISHED TODAY

A draft order to proscribe four organisations with links to the Al-Qaida terrorist network was laid before Parliament today by Home Secretary David Blunkett.

The order will be debated by MPs and peers later this week and will be subject to approval by both Houses of Parliament.

Mr Blunkett is seeking to add the four names to the list of 21 international organisations already proscribed under provisions in the Terrorism Act 2000.

His proposal to extend the proscription list in the wake of recent terrorist attacks in South East Asia follows detailed consideration against the criteria in the legislation and evidence that all four organisations are “concerned in terrorism”.

The four new groups the Home Secretary is recommending for proscription are: Jeemah Islamiyah; the Abu Sayyaf Group; the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan and Asbat Al-Ansar.

Specific offences relating to membership, support for and funding of a proscribed organisation are included in the Terrorism Act.

Once proscription of these organisations takes effect, it will be open to any of the terrorist organisations concerned – or any person affected by their proscription – to make an application to the Home Secretary for deproscription. If that application is refused, the organisation can then appeal to an independent tribunal, the Proscribed Organisations Appeal Commission.

The black Muslim connection

In 2000, Britain renewed its ban on Mr. Farrakhan, first imposed in 1986, on the grounds he "would not be conducive to public good for reasons of race relations."

Gonna go to bed after this (before I get real cranky); however, I will say simply this...

I have a very hard time mustering any sympathy for muslims or arabs at this point. I simply don't care. The more I learn about their religion(s), the more I learn about their customs, the more I learn about their beliefs; well, I simply wouldn't mind if they fell into the dustbowl of history.

I don't blame these attacks entirely on the explosion in Bali, although that was bad enough. About three months ago the Australian police scrooped up a street gang of young Moslem men (I think from Lebanon) who had run up a lengthy list of rape victims, all of them targetted because they were of English descent (and Christian).

"It's offensive,..."

No, it isn't...

Do any of these so-called Australian "assailants" need US sponsors to immigrate here?

I got an idea. Move all the Aussies to the USA, move all the Muslims in the world to Australia. Make it a giant prison for Islam...
