When will the Republicans stop believing that the Democraps are either honest or ethical?

I will probably throw up the next time I hear a Republican refer to a colleague as "My good friend and gentleman from ......"

Some observations.

Some early morning insomnia. Cut on Fox News and watched some of David Wellstone's "eulogy".

I lost my father suddenly in my 20's. I have also lost my mother after a long illness one year later. Dave Wellstone was one cool customer for someone who had lost their Dad, Mom & Sister in one fell swoop. I thought of the grief of losing my parents and add to that the thought of losing my sister. My guts were ripped out.

I could not continue to watch it. It was a political rally plain & simple. They didn't want Cheney there - who as president of the Senate would properly have been there - because he would actually lent some dignity to the event. Can you imagine? A sitting US Senator's life is cut short and people act like this.

A Somber Memorial for

scrofulous Probably everyone thinks of the Browning poem about this bitter monk who hates one of his brethren and accuses him of secretly reading dirty books with their "scrofulous print" I think it is. In that case shabby because cheap printing job, but also grubby subject matter.

In a circumstance in which the situation were reversed, close to an election, a Republicn Senator tragically lost his life. A funeral attended by strong Republican supporters would likely also react unkindly to the appearance of prominent Democrats of the Clinton and Kennedy persuasion.

To me, the coorect reaction is to be dissappointed that our country has become so extremely partisian in its politics that the attendees of a memorial service, regardless of which side of the isle on which they sit, cannnot have enough respect to allow colleagues and friends to pay their respects.

Oh, Puh-leez! In what universe would Republicans put on a memorial service with loud pop-music, and all the other atmospheric elements that created an environment where cheering and jeering would even occur to participants in the first place? Frankly, if the situation were reversed, any Republican family with class would hold the memorial service after an election that was so close. And whenever it was held is would have some freakin' decorum!!

If you ask me, I see Clinton in all of this. Looking recently at the political events in New York and New Jersey and Minnesota, I see Bubba both behind the scenes and on the scene, and it is very clear that he is still controlling the Democrat party.

Clinton practices a particularly crude form of politics. He has no sensitivity whatsoever to accepted norms, knowing that he can go way over the line because the liberal media will ignore his unethical behavior while warning the Republicans that they must remain docile. So he glibly criticizes a successor in the White House; in key races he advises his party to run the most negative and deceitful attack ads I've ever seen; he urges the Dems to circumvent electoral laws within the states; and he is prominently on the scene at a memorial service which is really a political rally with free air time (I wouldn't be surprised if it was also a fund raiser). This man would run the table before you even showed up for the match.

I've seen every US President since Franklin Roosevelt. By far, Clinton is the most corrupt to inhabit the White House, which he treated like a cesspool. After shaming his party dreadfully, he then manages to get them to accept his leadership again. Even worse, his once proud party has adopted Clinton's most despicable methods and they,ve finally become as corrupt as he is. The ghastly "Memorial Service" in Minnesota is therefore not surprising at all.

I would suggest that it's Hillary Clinton, James Carville, Bob Shrum, et al with their fingerprints all over this. Bill Clinton is too busy screwing whatever is standing nearby to do too much behind the scenes. Besides, he can only do what Hillary tells him to do since she's the one who looks the other way while he is screwing around. Also, remember no one wants Bill Clinton to "help" them campaign. That should tell you something. That big fat smirk on Hillary's face last night told me all I needed to know. That is along with Terry MacAuliffe, her lapdog.

Oh it will. Jim Talent lost his father over the weekend. Unlike in 2000 when Ashcroft quit campaigning for 10 days the widow said she was sorry but continued on the campaign. TALK ABOUT NO CLASS!!!!

That is what flabbergasted and appalled me. The sons lost their father, mother and sister, yet were up there rallying the troops to get out the vote. I heard very little sympathy or sorrow in their voices. If I didn’t see it myself, I wouldn’t have believed it. As a matter of fact, I’m still not sure if I believe it.

Maybe they were on valium. Aren't some grieving people prescribed valium to help deal with a loss? No normal human being can be that put together so soon after losing three members of your immediate family.

I don't understand why everyone is so "shocked" with this behavior. Did anyone expect more from this group of liberals? When will we stop expecting people with marxist roots to act like moral individuals? We watched for 8 years as the clintons pushed one Democrat after another under the train in order to save their own hides. We watched hardcore feminists become whores, we watched blacks willingly become slaves, we saw gays who wanted their lifestyles kept private be outed.

The individual must be sacrificed in order to further our agenda. They should willingly volunteer to be sacrificed.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mondale decides to come out with the following decision-

I have decided for the good of Minnesota, I will allow my name to be put on the ballot as a replacement for Paul Wellstone. However, in Paul's memory I have decided not to campaign but instead to hold a series of Memorial services around the great state of Minnesota. I expect Paul's apponent to respect my decision and hope that he will honor Paul's death by suspending his campaign also.
