Hutchinson or Huckabee will lost by 1%?

Ooops, typo. Hutchinson.

By all indications, Huckabee is pulling away in the polls after a brief scare.

Did you even read the predictions? They certainly are no worse than what I've been reading in the media.

Thanks. Most of the "wise" pundits we see on TV have a HORRIBLE track record in predicting election results!

The GOP will take S. Dakota & New Hamp.
Admittedly, Jay Wolfe has an uphill battle vs. Rockefeller. If Mr. Wolfe doesn't win I don't think this will be the last we'll of this bona fide Reagan-Conservative.

Even more shocking was that Bush won the presidency without carrying California. Chew on that.

You mean: Even more shocking was that Bush was SELECTED president without carrying California. Chew on that.

What bothers me is CNN constantly predicting low voter turnout. What are they trying to pull. EVERY person I know will be voting. Even those who are only mildly conservative or non-democrat are adamant about voting to wipe out the last of the clintonistas.

The only fear we have in florida are the Unlicensed lawyers sent by the DNC and the NAACP geting felons to vote.

In Miami Dade, the Mayor(?) of the county said as much as 20% of the votes will have been cast in early balloting. In Broward the lines are extending out of the building (and its a big building and a looong hall) for ealy voting. Palm beach sent the butler.

remember the decision was 7 to 2.

After a year by using algore standard bush won and by four different standards used by the media bush won.

Let us not also forget about the two timezones in florida this time. By the DNC estimates the early call for FL cost bush 8000 votes.

Democratic sleaze gave us the toricelli quiter and the Mondale rally memorial.

Have there been exit polls on the early voting? Florida? There must be a fraud factor the the Dems to be confident.

I agree!

CNN, along with NBC, ABC, and CBS, will try everything they can to keep Dems in control of the Senate.

Same here, every person I know is going to vote and vote against the dems.

But we have some stuff going on in NC that really bother me, as you do in FLA. In 2000, Bush should have walked away with it - and NC wasn't called for him as early as I had expected. A lot of rumors about what happened.

Dems will do anything to win - that is what scares me! And what makes me mad - they get away with it most of the time.

"There is a question of precedure, but I feel confident we can overcome it....the Republic is not what it once was. The Senate is full of greedy, squabbling delegates who are only looking out for themselves and their home sytems. There is no interest in the common good...no civility, only politics...its disgusting. I feel confident...our "situation" will create a strong sympathy vote for us...."

By ordering that the manual recounts stop and refusing to accept manual recounted votes, Empress Harris had effedtively SELECTED the president.

Another lie.

Secretary of State Harris stopped the recounts -- and the 'Rat vote manufacturing process -- at the deadline mandated by the state legislature. The Florida Kangaroo Court then tried to help your side by overturning the Equal Protection Clause, but that didn't work out very well.

But then, why should we expect honesty from someone who swore he would stop posting here long ago?

Those media outlets concluded bush won under any recount scheme. Harris' issue was only when do votes get certified under the law. Ignoring the law and observing the media recounts. Harris was correct by algore's standards.

It's all the more shocking that Gore lost his own home state. If only he'd won Tennessee, none of this would matter, would it?

All the blame for his loss lies squarely on his own soulders. The left refuses to acknowledge this, and I'm here to continually remind you.

ACTION ALERT: AP Rewrites History of Florida Recount

October 1, 2002

In a reference to the disputed presidential election of 2000, the Associated Press rewrote history-- history that AP itself helped make in the first place.

In an August 25 report on a new book by Katherine Harris, who as Florida's secretary of state played a major role in the election controversy, AP included this attempt to provide context: "Some unofficial ballot inspections paid for by consortiums of news agencies showed Bush winning by varying margins."

Since AP was a member of the main media consortium reexamining the ballots, all it would have needed to do to get the story right would be to review its own reporting. Here's how the wire service summarized the findings at the time (11/11/01): "A full, statewide recount of all undervotes and overvotes could have erased Bush's 537-vote victory and put Gore ahead by a tiny margin ranging from 42 to 171 votes, depending on how valid votes are defined."

Another, less rigorous media review of ballots, by the Miami Herald and USA Today, produced a more ambiguous result. As summarized by AP (11/12/01), that review found that "Bush would stayed ahead under the strictest standards for judging votes, while Gore would have broken on top under the most liberal."

The outcome of the recount of the valid ballots in the Florida election is obviously an important historical question, since the state's results determined the outcome of the presidential election. AP has a responsibility to refer to history as it actually happened.

All the blame for his loss lies squarely on his own soulders (sic).

Gore should have asked for a STATEWIDE manual recount, which would have been fair for both sides.

Turnout in 2000 was HUGE. Do you really think it will be this time? I just don't see Dems, like you, all fired up. I'm thinking extremely low turnout and some surprising gains by the GOP, in unusual places. Here in WA State, no run for Gov or either Senator, little being spent, no initiatives to fire up the libs....

I do think that the battle ground Senate states will have higher turnout and will be close races.
