Good job. I can tell you that in Brooklyn things have changed a lot. Brooklyn Heights, Clinton Hill, Park Slope--all leftist bastions now have at least 2 or 3 American flags per block. I teach in a public junior high school in Carroll Gardens. We have been saying the Pledge of Allegiance every morning since 9/11. We stand at attention in the gym first thing every morning, put our hands over our hearts, and say the pledge as a school. Anyone who does not wish to recite the pledge must still stand out of respect. It's become normal after so many years of being out of fashion to express love for our own country. I truly believe that New Yorkers have been touched so deeply by the loss of the Twin Towers and so many of our rescue workers and friends on that day that we are forever changed.

BTW I also don't want to nuke Iraq but doesn't the Art of War advise the warrior to choose the time and place of the conflict if war is inevitable? I've got to go with Rummy on this one. Good to know you're out there fighting the good fight. There are more of us out here than I was aware of before 9/11.
