Election workers donned plastic gloves Friday and separated out absentee ballots arriving from voters in state Senate District 19 so investigators can dust envelopes for fingerprints in a search for illegally cast ballots.

Orange-Osceola State Attorney Lawson Lamar has received dozens of complaints that an organized effort directed at Hispanics is under way to illegally obtain absentee ballots and cast them in the upcoming election.

The initial investigation points to various schemes centered on using the names, addresses or voting documents of unsuspecting Hispanic voters in order to secure an absentee ballot, officials said.

This is idiotic. Unless the registered voters have all been fingerprinted, just what are the envelopes being dusted to compare to?

It seems to me that local, state, and feds are going after vote fraud like never before. Or maybe its just because of the internet that we hear more about it. I hope the R's are finally realizing that they can't tolerate it anymore. I could never understand why in the past they just rolled over for it (e.g. B-1 Bob in CA, Landreau in LA).

If you find the same fingerprints on multiple ballots, supposedly cast by people who don't know each other, that tells you something, doesn't it?

Democrats need to know they are being watched, the voting monitored and they will be prosecuted and jailed for voter fraud.

yah, right, just like the native american women in S.Dakota who when caught submitting forged documents said "yes, I did that but I didn't do anything illegal." Not really an exact qoate but as close as i can gwt it without pulling up the exact qoute. How can these people who are doing all these irregularities all be that ignorant of the law that you have to apply for absentee ballet in person or individually?
